Yeah, I hijacked it a while back while you were on your hiatus, but only proudsub would remember exactly which thread it was on. lol I think it is soooooo much smoother and sexier than "y'know", or "doncha know" or "you know", lol. We learn from one another, Shade! This time you were the teacher! [;)]

why is that men, even switches that seem to understand a little better, keep putting women in the non-thinking and only feeling role.

Because men are pigs.

"The only thing men are good for is lawn care and vehicle maintenance." Tim Allen.

If a man says something in the forest and a woman is not around to hear it, is he still wrong?

On a serious note, I think many men are threatened by the idea that women could have a mind of her own. This is something I derive endless amusement out of watching.

And on a personal note, my daughter is one of the most intelligent (gpa and test scores agree) people I (probably a lot smarter than I will ever be) have ever met, and I derive incredible amounts of amusement watching boys or men try to impress that one.

Not sure that is remotely helpful, but there ya go.

Only if I say he is. (I've laughed at that one each time I hear/ read it).

Good luck to your daughter. Even the bright ones make mistakes. No one gets to know everything. (Except me). ;)
