When playing with your counterparts, how do you like the temperature?

I suspect many prefer room temperature, as the discomfort of being cold is not the sort of pain masochists usually crave, by extension usually not the pain sadists enjoy dishing out?

That's my stance.  As with everything else, there are all types.  Does anyone here particularly like a warm or cold room?  Is this a factor that has gone unchanged solely because a pleasant room temperature is taken for granted?

i like a cold room because a play session makes me sweat like crazy.

Does not matter if i am Topping or bottoming , or in demo mode i want it  cold as when i am enaged in bdsm its a workout and i wont be cold for long .

i like it cool but with blankets around because i'm anemic and otherwise prone to freezing my ass off as well - getting really cold in the midst of play comes up sometimes. i do think He likes to watch me shiver occasionally, though.

i may not crave being cold, but i crave passing the fuck out even less... Sure it's dramatic, but unless i'm playing with a forklift nobody's gonna catch me.

On the plus side, i figure... if i'm butt-nekkid, and She's wearing a rubber catsuit, we should work out to about the same temperature... i mean, win-win all over the place! [8D]

I like it cold because during play I get very warm.  I find I never notice the temperature in the room once we start playing, unless it becomes unbearably hot.  And a cool room is great for snuggling under the covers when we're relaxing afterwards...

I'm usually cold most of the time, even when I have to wear clothes.  I always carry a jacket with me into restaurants and movies and enjoy flannel even in Texas in August.  So I prefer a warm room when I play, specially since I'm usually naked.

The DM's at our playhouse tend to keep it on the cool side.  My pet likes it a bit warmer since she's shedding her clothing.  She also tends to get cold and shiver and a scene.  Blankets are provided and I bring a snuggly bathrobe for her to use. 

I don't mind getting a little heated myself, I do tend to work up a sweat when playing.

i tend to like it on the cooler side. i tend to get warm quickly. so the cooler the better. also makes it nice for snugglin down when off in lala land later.

My body temperature runs on the very warm side to begin with.  I keep my home rather chilly because that's where I'm comfortable.  I'm always begging to make the room cooler with Mr. Wonderful.  During play I'd prefer it at about 65 degrees and he likes it at 68 or 69.  I'm dying at that temperature but that's just my too bad.  Ugh!

But then he likes seeing me covered in sweat afterward.  It's miserable, I tell ya!!  [&:]

I like it warm. I get cold easily and the cool rooms make me achy.

Since most of our play is bondage i need the room warm as i will freeze quickly if i am not moving.

i like a cool, well ventilated room with a fan available, for preference.

i like when the coolness and anticipation play havoc with my goosebumps and nipples, that i stay comfortable for longer, and that when i do overheat there is a fan to cool things down.

It's not just about comfort for me, it has to do with what ails me and the meds i take, in that all conspire to alter the way my body deals with inner rises in temperature, and ambient temperature too, for that matter.

Right about 70F works for me. If it's going to be a highly active time, I might go to 68, if less active 72 or even 74.

Most people I have played with have said that I keep the playroom about right for them which is relatively warm. I detest being cold myself and will start to shiver badly and even get teeth chatters in a cool place.

I feel more sexually aroused when a room is warmish so that guides my temperature choice.

I have noticed that if lengthy bondage is being done, the room is better off warmer as the joints get achey and stiff if kept in confinement in the cold.

I am glad that I am not a sub as if a Dom had his playroom too cold he would never get me aroused and I can actually feel sick if I am cold.

Older people I have played with seem to appreciate a warmer room so maybe the bones like to be kept warm once late middle age kicks in.

Room temperature's fine, if I want, I can always open or close a window, turn on or off a fan depending on how the temperature rises or lowers.

as cool as possible.

if the room gets too warm, he'll sweat a lot soaking the sheets and i'll have to keep a towel handy to wipe him off. plus touching the sweaty hair is not pleasant.

It depends entirely on my mind ...

Soft and sensual, sensation play and things of that nature with low exertion ... definitely warmer. If it's exertion heavy for either of us then cooler with lots of ventilation and fans as required. In general I prefer cooler than hotter because getting warm can provide so much pleasure [:)]
