I most definately believe Dom space exists, I have experienced both sub space and Dom space. The very first time I went into it, I had a gal on a cross, looking at her back, I could almost see lines across her body, top line too much, bottom line not enough. I spent the scene working between the two lines. That hasn't happened again, but what does happen is everything but the music and the sounds of other play disappears, observers a few feet away can be talking and I don't hear them. I am hyper tuned to the sub's reactions, body coloration, movement, sounds, twitches, fingers moving. It is not the meditative spiritual type of space I acheive when I bottom, I don't float or fly, I am hyperpresent. However I have had Dom/mes lose touch with me as a person in their Dom space and not even hear my spotter relaying my repeated "red". These were the times I was injured and made me less willing to bottom. To be "with" your sub in their experience, attuned to them as a unique individual is good Dom space, to go off into lala land where the Dom/me can only think of what they want to do, to treat every sub as a painslut is bad Dom space. It is dangerous space. If the scene has gone well, I am drenched in sweat and euphoric afterwards, I especially love the Christmas morning smile of the sub coming off the equipment after getting to where they want to go.
