SirJohnMandevill -> "Who is that Masked Man?" (11/11/2005 9:16:36 PM)

Um…actually, I don't wear a mask. And the only leather I wear is my belt and shoes. But I *am* new to the group, so I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm a 57-year-old guy who has been into BDSM since my late teens. Strictly in the bedroom, strictly with women, strictly as a top. Unfortunately, it's a few years since I had a partner who was into light bondage and light/moderate pain. Right now, I'm still a work in progress as a Dominant. I recently had to pull the plug on a developing relationship because I was not meeting the woman's needs nor was she meeting mine. I have a natural inclination to compliment a woman I care for: Tell her she's beautiful, exciting, intelligent, desirable (insert other superlatives). She felt I went too far, and was "fawning" over her, and that it made me seems less dominant. I'll learn from my mistakes! So, dominance is still rather like a squeaky pair of new shoes to me. Hopefully, they'll break in quickly. Glad to be part of the group! Les (Purveyor of fine verbiage since 1980)
