I have recentlly read that Ortho Evera birth control has been recalled by the FDA due to it causing

The AP reported that patch users die and suffer blood clots at a three-times-higher rate than women taking the pill.
The kinds of injuries that can occur include:
  • Blood Clots
  • Pulmonary Embolism
  • Heart Attacks
  • Stroke
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis
  • Death

The FDA's site has no information about any such recall.  The last bulletin they have regarding Ortho-Evra is from January where they approved new product labeling.  I don't know that I would trust the website of some scumbag ambulance chaser like the Ortho Evra Legal Center who is just looking for a fat payday as a reliable source of information, but that's just me.

They have those "ambulance chaser" commercials on TV here too for Ortho Evra and lots of other medicines.....that is the Birth control  method i have used for years and have asked my doctor about it many times....it is more dangerous to change birth control if you have been on it for a long time and you are okay and it works for you....any medicine can have adverse reactions for a certain part of the population..but i guess if i disappear from here one day and never return...then you might know the reason why....Yikes![&:]

Sigh, my Ob/Gyn wont prescribe me it anymore and I loved it so! I didn't have to think about it daily like the pill, and It didnt fall out during rough (and fun) sex like the ring!
