Cloudz -> Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 1:49:46 PM)

Hi,

I am frustrated, so I turn to the good people of CM to tell me what I already know. Life happens. I'm quite careful about who I spend intimate time with, so I spend time getting to know someone before meeting. I spent the time on a sub, who I was supposed to meet with tomorrow, and he bailed. Took his profile off and everything...poor thing, I must have scared him off. I know there are happy stories on CM, and if it is meant to happen to me here, it will...just frustrated and needed to vent. Thanks for listening!

Sorry to hear, Cloudz, but it happens ALLLLLLLLL the time. You're not alone :) Just keep trying.

don't feel bad, you're not alone. there are scores of people on here that had planned meetings that didn't take place...nobody is immune. i won't go into detail about my experience. but it happens to everyone...sooner or later.

Welcome to the Club!!!

justatoy2 -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 2:12:52 PM)

i hear it happens, but fortunately i have not had anything really bad. Im was very cautious when meeting people from here because i know there is much bs that goes on. I am fortunate. I met a wonderful man through here and we are exploring a 9mo relationship so far. Sure its had its up and downs...mostly ups..some downs..but it can happen. So keep the feelers out there.

nephandi -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 2:18:45 PM)

To be honest i have done this to, there was this Dom that i talked whit as a plssible play partner, and then i got a bout of depression and i just left the site for months, it is nothing i am proud of, but it happend.

slavejali -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 2:21:30 PM)

Im sorry that happened to you Cloudz, ive heard these types of stories over time, wish there was a fail proof way to stop this happening to people.
I went to your bio and saw that you had written this:
quote:

I think I will simply hang out and enjoy the boards.

Maybe that is the way to go, i wasnt actually seeking a Master when Master found me, so there was no pressure or expectations in our initial interactions, kinda allowed us to develop our relationship naturally.
Good luck Maam

p.s. we have now been together 2 years rl and are happily married as well.

BlkTallFullfig -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 2:39:52 PM)

Sorry to hear this as well.
Unfortunately it does happen all the time that people present themselves as oh-so-willing-ready-and-available, but they are just happy imagining a relationship as long as it doesn't go past the keyboards.

For me it usually doesn't go so far as to plan the day. As soon as someone in another state starts behaving as if he lives in Alaska and needs a year to plan a first meeting, I tell him where to go.
Stay strong, and open to meeting the right sub for you, and my hope is you will when the time and place is right. M

girl4you2 -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 2:52:28 PM)

sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience, but perhaps it was better than meeting the person and having them bail on you afterwards. i'm sure you will find someone who will be right for you. i wish you well.

BeachBear -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 4:12:52 PM)

Hang in there, the right sub is out there, just "nature's way" of telling you that the individual wasn't right. Thank god it didn't go to collar, and then he/she bailed.

Cloudz -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 4:27:19 PM)

Thanks everyone,

I guess I just needed to hear some supportive words. Thanks for listening to me whine..say, does anyone have any cheese? <grin>

DallasDiva -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 5:01:28 PM)

It stinks, beleive me, I know. Be thankful that you did not waste your valuable time with a meeting, at least he bailed before you got attached. I had someone, who I thought was my friend bail on me. He asked for "the next step"...which was nothing more than a dinner and me "considering" him. Since I gave it some thought, I thought well...maybe. Now he has thrown away a friendship since he did not even bother to tell me ..."well...maybe not". Nothing, not even a phone call. And it was HIS idea. Nothing really to add...I just wanted to "vent", too.

[:D]

Yes, that's why I prefer a quick meeting for coffee up front, to determine if I even want to invest any significant time in getting to know a submissive. One did disappoint** and failed to show, but, oh well, I had my book. [:D]

** I was going to make a joke about others "just disappointed," but that would have been wrong. I've appreciated all the men who've allowed me to look them over and burrow into their heads a bit.

Hi Cloudz,
Let's see......... what's that old saying? Oh yeah, "If you want to find a prince you will have to kiss a lot of frogs!" Or something like that. Chin up, back straight, eyes ahead and mind on the future. He did you a favor by not wasting your time. You deserve better than him anyway, right?

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 8:15:10 PM)

Right with ya, Cloudz! Vent away, it helps!

:)Francine

angelus04 -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/14/2005 10:09:37 PM)

Haven't met anyone on here yet but then again I haven't really sent any messages to people to start a conversation. Hopefully eventually I will its just I'm afraid of rejection as Xander would say "funny considering all the practice I've had" Yes I can find ways that Buffy/Angel can apply to everyday life. I guess I'm alot like Xander minus the construction job or the job of any kind actually. Ok I do go to college and I'm getting through it but its a very slow pace

RosaB -> RE: Just Complainin' (11/15/2005 12:42:06 PM)

Vent on girlfriend, it happened to many of us. Now, I don't put stock in the plan till the person is getting off the parkway exit ready to find a parking space. [:D] Up to that point, I just go on with my day.

It can happen for many reasons and most of the time it has nothing to do with you. People chicking out, people play games, some just don't know what they want and some, are just plain loco. So vent on, I'm sure that feels good.

When you want apples and life gives you lemons, what you do is make lemon aide.
Then throw the lemon aide in the eyes of the person that gave the lemons to you. While they are blinded beat the snot out of them and take that apples you wanted.
Hope that helps ;-)
Tony

I tend to prefer a more passive-agressive approach to revenge.

I wonder if that is a submissive trait...
