So are you saying you KNOW he owes you nothing, but you still have the irrational FEELING that he owes you something?

Never had a wife, I've done this. It's like this: sometimes shit happens. And work DOES get in the way, espec. if you're not a 9-5er. So he lost the momentum in the relationship. Trust me, if he's feeling this way then it's about 80% he's right, especially if he's been around the block more than once and can read the writing on the wall. (I'm saving that metaphor mix, I'm digging the visual. Anyway.) It may feel like you've lost an opportunity, but really all you lost is the ability to say no before he does. Because it's a really hard start to get a cold motor running after it's sat for too long, but not long enough... in the 3 weeks to 3 months range, is my rule of thumb. After 3 months give it a go again, say hello. Things might have lightened up for him and the interest will be appreciated. O/W, keep lookin'.
