i introduced myself for the first time tonight in the boards and the chatroom . i found there is not any acklowdegement for nowcomers .. that isn't a good feeling, i guess me and my fellow newcomers will have to look elsewheres for a chat site that welcomes new people

I didn't get any welcome on the Introduction board. . turns out no one is sitting there awaiting the oh so stimulating "Hi" posts. So I went to the other boards and luckily was able to get over it.

As far as I'm aware, there is no welcome committee just waiting for newcomers to make their appearance - correct me if I'm wrong ;-) - but once you get over that,.... the boards are a nice place to hang out. Sometimes people talk to you, sometimes they don't. Depends how inane (or insane) your last comment was :-)

Well now, let’s see... you’ve been here for less than 24 hours since you posted in the welcome forum and you are already bitching about not getting enough attention? Then you posted this thread with troll bait ? Perhaps you need to go back to adult friend finder which seems much more your speed if attention is what you value over quality. Wait, this is a chat site? I wouldn't get so upset about the lack of responses, Alberta. In my experience here, I've never gotten much reply in th chatrooms other than "On ur nees, slave" or "Are you owned?". Not precisely thought-provoking conversation...particularly since the trolls always just ignored me when I started rambling on about how much of assholes they were, and the myriad reasons their approach wasn't helping them pick up chicks. The "Introduce yourself" forum tends to be pretty empty-go on over there and look how many other posts go unanswered. Your post there was pretty straight-forward, so there wouldn't really be any reason I could see to reply. If you're really interested in getting responses on the forum, I suggest that you choose some random, unpopular stance and stick with it despite arguement to the contrary. Champion unsafe sex practices, unconsentual activities, or super-unsafe fantasy BDSM. Preach about the "One True Way", male superiority, or how Jesus will be sending the lot of us to hell (what a party that would be!) People who rock the boat tend to get the most responses.

I think this is just another sign of how the entire BDSM scene has changed in the last...umm...4 years. Back when I first joined CollarMe, I hadn't been a member for more than 15 minutes when my doorbell rings and an entire harem of lovely slave girls was standing at my door with a fruit basket! They first did a dance for me and then one rubbed my feet, one massaged my head, and one did...well...let's just leave her activities to your imagination. Nowadays, you can't even get a proper welcome when you barely fill out your profile, and even create a place called Alberta, UK. I ask you, what is the scene coming to??? :) Taggard

[sm=tongue.gif] For the OP, on a serious note, most people don't go off on a whine and a rant but instead come to the forums, read for a bit then start posting worthwhile contributions, not even necessarily serious items. We have a wonderful section called Casual Banter that includes Off-Topic, Humour and the ever fantabulous Polls and Random Stupidity. Find a topic that interests you and start reading. There's a very wide range. Have something to say? Feel free to post, just remember to keep it in TOS. Oh. And a friendly word. The responses you get will usually be in a similar tone as what you post. Friendly = friendly. Asshole = flamed. Have fun and welcome to CM. The Unofficial, self-proclaimed Sorta Welcomed Wagon.....
