Okay, it's official. i went to my first social tonight. i'd been wanting to get out from behind this computer screen for awhile now, and i finally worked up enough courage to go out and try something on my own. Well, not on my own exactly. After a few misses with trying to get together with our very own everhope here on the forums, we finally met as she was kind enough to take me to one of her gatherings. Real people, good food (Sizzler's was great), and good times. i only hope my shyness didn't make me stand out/seem rude/etc. (i'll admit it's been awhile since i've worn a dress in public, and i'm thinking maybe that had something to do with it.) i have a few things to think about now, and a thank you to AsianMaster247 for letting me tag along with everhope. Promise next time i'll be at least a little more talkative. But so many wonderful people there, and so many new names to get to know now, lol. Curiouser and curiouser... [:D] dream~

YEAH.. you finally made it and hooked up with everhope. Congrats. I hope you had fun and the food for thought you brought home only acts as an appetizer. Did you guys take any pics while you were out?

dream...hooray for you! you are naturally quiet and shy...this will change as you feel more comfortable with new friends....i have great friends and their welcoming you and doing their best to make you feel comfortable was of no surprise to me. i am so very happy that you walked through your fears, dream. there is a lot of fulfillment awaiting you. oh and no pics, Sir. i was told to turn off my phone and i forgot to turn it back on and take a pic of dream in her pretty summer dress after the social. next time... may we all find our bliss.

smiles at pure, i simply extended a welcoming hand and vehicle to drive dream to the gathering. when i was at my limit of online only, and had to get out from behind the screen, i was extended the same...only right to pay back what was given to me.

the social last night was a warm up for next wednesday's social. the one next wed. is the "5th wednesday" of the month social. it only happens what 4 maybe 5 times in a year and very well attended, upwards to 100 people. it was the very first one i attended 6 years ago and still going strong. LadyH...i have a feeling we will meet up somewhere along this path we both choose to travel.

Thank you all for the replies! i had a good time, and have time to let everything "sink in". [;)] And no, no pics, RS, but maybe next time. (As for the dress issue, i'm thinking i'll go browse online at Target or Wal-Mart (if i have to, >.<) for something new for next week... [:)])

i keep telling you...dream...Ross. for cheap clothes they are the best..i am thinking we need to go shopping together...is there a Ross in your area...dream?...i know there is a walmart and target close by you.

Rain never takes me anywhere! And I -never- get to wear a pretty dress! Edited in the event someone reads the rules literally: Imma glad you hads a swell time, dream. Rain and I have gone out a few times since she arrived up here - when I'm not working and one of us isn't on the boards.

Thank you, ThundersCry. It's nice to be out and about these days. [:D] After soo long doing my "homework" over here, it's nice to finally have a chance to... do something about it. [;)] Oh, and thanks Wyld, Winsome and Sin, too. You gals are teh best.
