I have used oatmeal and it has seemed to work well.
You could always do stale bread with water. You should also make them take vitamin packets. Or made them drink gatorade instead of water.

Gatoraid is good for people who are active and burning electrolytes..but ive read that too much is very unhealthy if you are not a avid sports nut.

Is Gatorade unhealthy if you are not exercising?  Yes, but not for the reasons you may be thinking.

During physical effort, your muscles become glycogen depleted.  Taking in sugars while you are glycogen depleted results in glycogen replenishment in the muscles.  Taking in sugars beyond the level you need to restore glycogen levels in your lean body mass (eg, when you are not exercising, or taking in more than you can absorb while you are exercising) results in glycogen replenishment in the liver, insulin/glucagon sensitivity blunting and fat storage.

Electrolytes and vitamins can't hurt you unless you take some really ridiculous amount, which you wouldn't physically be able to do using Gatorade.  The simple sugars aren't going to have a positive effect on you if you don't need them to replenish immediately depleted tissue glycogen stores however.  All you accomplish by drinking too much Gatorade or by drinking Gatorade when you are not exercising is upping your sugar intake.

In all honest I think the best slave gruel I've ever seen would be natural oatmeal with no added sugars or flavorings. . . it's entirely bland but well sustaining.

slave gruel and baby food:
Baby food is not going to work as punishment.  I remember too many times in college getting the munchies late at night and the only thing that would solve it was a trip to the supermarket for for a shopping bag full of gerbers  strained fruits.

One can of ensure (available at most grocery stores), pour in blender, add cooked grits for consistency, raw turnips for a not so nice taste (helps conceal the flavouring of the ensure), blend and serve! The ensure will cover the nutritional value, anything else you add or take away is purely for flavouring, colour, or consistency! I also agree however, that this should not be a prolonged diet (maybe 24 hrs.)... Love all your posts!!!

Red River cooks like outmeal but is full of whole grains so lots of ruffage and some vitamins.  Put dried fruit and some nuts in it.  and 1/2 cup of milk.  for breakfast

then for lunch put some cooked vedgies in and bits of meat.

make sure the slave drinks plenty of water throughout the day.

for dinner it might be best to feed them from your hand bits of whatever you think they need in thier diet.  a daily vitamin pill would be a good plan too.

sounds like fun, enjoy

I think most people's taste buds are overstimulated due to the amount of saturation of highly concentrated flavors that commercially available processed food assaults us with.  That recipe sounds pretty darn good to me, and not at all unlike some of the vegetarian "meatloaves" I've created when I'm cooking up a no-holds-barred gourmet feast.  A fresh vegetable and bean base with some cheese, whole grain wheat bread and raisins....oh yeah.  I'm not a vegetarian and I've done some damage to the dishes I've created out of these kinds of ingredients, even when there was a metric fuckton of roast meats on the table right next to them.

I would suppose if you really wanted a week of pet food, keeping a big bowl stocked with fruits and vegetables and eating out of that for a week would give you a good primate experience -- well, maybe with that addition of the occasional bug.

the girlfriend came up with a gruel of her own today. a bit too tasty for everyday slaves but i like my girlfriend happy. she made a mixture of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, steamed broccoli, and cranberry sauce. mushed it all together and just set it in her bowl. pretty tasty but odd in consistency. great for the weeks after turkey day

One side issue to be aware of, is that a steady diet of low nutrient, gruel style meals is claimed to be used by certain cult leaders to reduce their followers brain's resistance to outside control.
You know that and the the unusual dress codes, humilating chores, chanting, worshipping the guy in charge, strange jargon..

I'll shut up now

I knew a  Mistress who  would sit down and enjoy fine dining like a queen.  She would have filet mingon, lobster, good wines,  all candle light with real silverwear, and made it into an extravagant feast. If her slaves  were good, they  ate on the floor any pieces  she  would be generous enough to throw at her feet, if not, she would put the steak, lobster, shrimp, salad, bread, wine, anything and everything on the table put it in a blender/food processor, and put it into a yuckie paste. Its food, its  all going to  the same place (stomach) and is going to look just like that paste when you are done.  Piss  her off, that was your dinner in which you would have to eat out of a dog bowl, if you were really bad, your hands would be tied behind your back.
You never realize how greatful you are of the different textures and flavors food can give until you try  to mix it all  up in a pasty clump....That my friend....is  slave gruel.
Bon Apetite

I tried some baby food apple sauce, justout of curiosity and it was in my estimation nasty. I have not tried any other kind of baby food, but if their all as nasty to me as apple sauce was, I'd be thouroughly unhappy to eat it, and It'd be a  punishment,
