Okies!! I am back to knitting---w00000t!! And, I am here to recommend the book "Dominknitrix" by Jennifer Stafford. I got the book for a few patterns in it that amused me, but actually it is a really good book with lots of chances to practice techniques that you might not always use. PHOTOS describing how to do stuff---like grafting garter stitch, my next thing. [8|] My current project is the "Avast" sweater from Knitty.com, Fall 2006. Yes, making it for someone utterly undeserving, but there you go. Lots of plain stockinette, which I can knit without actually LOOKING at. Also lots of picking up stitches along the edge, which I HATE. [&:] One of the reviews on Ravelry described it as "lots of tedious detail", or something like that, and it is, but these seamless constructions are interesting to me, and I would rather practice new ideas on someone else's vetted designs.
