Bondage death garners murder charge By JOHN HENSON

A Jacob’s Lane woman has been indicted by the Maury County grand jury for second-degree murder in connection with the bondage death of her husband, according to court documents.

Rebecca Bargy, 25, is suspected of tying her husband, James Bargy, 29, as part of a sex game and abandoning him to die of asphyxiation while she was away for several hours with a boyfriend, according to Assistant District Attorney Larry Nickell.

Dr. Thomas Deering, a Nashville medical examiner, testified at a preliminary hearing that James Bargy could not breathe because of the ball gag in his mouth and the strap tied to Bargy’s neck compressed his jugular vein, contributing to his death.

Authorities found James Bargy’s body on the floor of the couple’s home at 4 p.m. April 19. Sheriff’s detectives said Rebecca Bargy tied her husband about 7:30 p.m. the previous day.

In a written statement, Rebecca Bargy wrote she had tried to leave her husband several times and related an incident last year in which her husband had eaten rat poison because he didn’t want to live any longer.
The initial charge against Bargy was reckless homicide, a class “D” felony.

Second-degree murder is a class “A” felony. If convicted, Bargy may be sentenced to a prison term of 15-60 years and fined $50,000.

How many 'died while in bondage alone' deaths is that now just in the past year? I think it must be 5 or 6. The two wetsuit guy. The near hanging in the club in NYC. The woman in tenessee(I think) that did ducttape mumification on her husband and let him along for 18 hours. That guy in London who was put in mumification and left in a closet ...... Im sure there are a few more Im forgeting .....

EDIT: Who was that guy who died breating chlorform while his parter was on the telephone? Or was that more than one year ago?

This doesn't sound like a bondage death, this sounds like using bondage to cover for the murder after she tried to leave him. That's probably why the charges were upgraded from reckless homicide (aka felonious stupidity) to 2nd degree murder.

This seems to me this second degree murder should be upgraded to premeditated first degree murder. I also believe she might have fed him the rat poison and he did not die. So she decided to take the coward's way of using this sex game for killing him instead of filing for a divorce. What a heinous crime!

$5 says she gets away with it clean.

Now if HE tied her up and she died, it would pretty much be automatic murder one and the death penalty or life without parole.

There must be more to the case, because that's not murder. It's not murder without intent to kill.

20 & 1/2 hours left alone...are you kidding me? If it's not intent to kill, it sure is hoping maybe the MF dies.

Our lifestyle isn't criminal...don't defend the criminals that use it as an excuse.

I agree. In my opinion it seems like she premeditated to kill her husband. I wonder if the boyfriend had any play in this as well. I would hope the law enforcement investigating this case does persue his play, if any.

As a Dominant Female, I cannot imagine leaving any of my slaves for the amount of time she left her husband. It appears she left him to die as for the information I have heard here in this forum. It sounds like from what I know, a clear case of Murder 1.

In addition, these people give this lifestyle a bad name.

It is unspeakable what this woman did

Is there an article link where I could read about this tragedy?
