housesub4you -> How to make whips (8/1/2008 9:59:05 AM)

I have begin to have an interest in learning how to craft a whip.  I did an interent search, but with really no experience don't know a good source from a bad source for learning.

If anyone can point me in the right direction with some helpful good sources that wouldbe great.

Glad to help-this guy knows his stuff. He's not kink friendly-buy the books, don't say why.

Just got off the phone with him,and ordered his Braiding Fine Leather book.  I told him I was just learning and he suggested this book to start with.

Thanks again

YW. I respect Mr. Morgan as a pro in his field. Did you know that he made the Indiana Jones whips?

No I did not.  I am just getting into whips, the artwork in the braiding is amazing.  Strange how my whole time in the lifestyle I never paid attention to it.

I was looking at some of the whips on his site and DAM!!  That man has talent.

As you progress into that art-you will begin to find a large disconnect between the attitude of the maker-and the buyer. The buyer these days tends to be conditioned towards mass production and cheapness. Whips of any quaility simply cannot be made this way. The attention to details-the quality of the materials-The sheer volume of the time it takes to process and assemble the work will make you wonder...

How does the man manage to do that for ONLY three hundred dollars?

Rather than,"That's WAY too much-I can buy the same thing on ebay for twenty bucks!!"

Sorry, it is NOT the same thing-not even CLOSE.
