For pure shits and giggles, I am absolutely addicted to Janet Evanovich and her Stephanie Plum series.....desperately awaiting the release of 14 in soft cover (bad wrists and all). Great escape novels for those who like to escape now and then.
oh man...the scene in Hot 6 where the dog (after eating a box of cereal (including the cardboard) and 2 boxes of prunes) gets kidnapped. Priceless.

Oh how I love Janet Evanovich. I try not to read her books in public as I'll burst out laughing at random times, and be deemed crazy.
