That kind of faux protocol really annoys me, too, but I do prefer it to the UR hott call me types of mail that I get sometimes. It IS a a clue that I am probably not a good match for that person, though!

Moi...silly???? I can see how that line can be irritating though I do know many subs who were required to follow this type of protocol or etiquette. At one time, I've had to use this with my former owner, especially when I had something to discuss with him.

The difference though, is that was with your owner, and not automatically "submitting" to some stranger a thousand miles away that you'll likely never meet.

Though I agree it's a redundancy as they have in fact approached ... I still prefer it to those who write in abbreviated txt spk and then continue to beg even when I have politely informed them that they are too young, on the wrong side of the world etc etc! Like, if you really want a Mistress, rule no 1 is to do as She says ... so if She says you are not suitable, believe it! Maam Jay aka violet[A]
