Woa, he admitted that to you [:D] ?

I swear he did Kittin.  I've been best friends with him since I was 13.  He's the most straight laced guy you'd ever meet.  He's Clark Kent personified.  I love him to death.  If he says it; it's the truth.

As for sterilization procedures, they're a matter of personal choice. If an individual's decided he no longer wanted children, of course it's his prerogative to get the snip, although I think there are less permanent solutions out there that still enable people to make love (and have lots of dirty sex) just as much and just as satisfyingly.

As much as I hate the word "sterilization", I agree with you.  I'm also a realist.  I don't want to be one of those guys in his forties or fifties with a toddler.  I am a day at a time type person.  I don't plan things like that, which seems to irritate all the women I've dated.  I want to fall madly in love first, then collectively decide with my gal about kiddies.  I'm old fashioned in that regard.  I don't want offspring without the obligatory nuclear family.

If I don't ever meet that special woman, than I want to take the best precautionary route.  I'd rather be snipped than pay child support payments to a one night stand.

By the way, what is so weird about having a vasectomy?

For me it's a visceral reaction I can't easily putinto words. Suffice it to say I don't like the idea at all.

When I was married, he got snipped at the age of 28. It was by far the best thing ever done for our sex life, damn we were like bunnies afterward. No worries about pills or chemicals, no worries about condoms.
Just plain ole happy bunny sex.
Everywhere.
Anywhere!

It was a huge relief, knowing that we were not going to be making babies while making love.

Even after getting divorced he has told me it was the best thing he could have done.

Yeah okay I have to be honest, our sex life in general was pretty awful because we were so incompatable but knowing he was snipped gave us a seriously wonderful freedom.

You lost me on that one.  Starfish?

We need to forget the whole 'daily pill' thing, and head straight for an implant technology, like Norplant.  Get the guys a 'starfish of happiness,' the number of pregnancies will drop.

The image probably comes from the fact that the Norplant looks a little like part of a starfish.

Think you are right, kitten.

Also, I have heard from many long term couples that sex after a vasectomy or tubal ligation is much more relaxed, much more free from the worries about birth control methods.

Dont know if this has been said.. but I dont think I would trust a guy who says " Don't worry baby, I'm on the pill"

I dont know any thinking woman out there who would believe one. LOL

it is much easier on them to get fixed then us after all.

Not sure if after this baby I am getting "fixed" or not.. it is a huge descion... and I am getting older. *sighs* 2 ums are enough though.

It would kill me if I found the perfect situation and wanted more ums and couldnt have them though. *sighs*

Gwyn

vasectomy is a great thing, the ex and i were much happier with our freedom after it was done.  too bad he felt free enough to share that freedom with others.

I just hate the idea, don't ask me why (perhaps a deeply primitive feeling that a spermless spunk isn't worth swallowing [8D]).

Thanks alot Kittin, now I will never get to sleep tonight!!!

The implant can be felt under the soft skin on the inside of the upper arm.  Five points, radiating from the center.  Like a starfish.

Absolutely! Wish i'd gotten up the nerve to do it years ago.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: Male birth control, we are still waiting (8/6/2008 7:28:08 AM)

Big mistake canning the male birth control pill. Most likely if one came out, the rate of Sex related diseases would skyrocket, they'd more than make up any upfront costs of the drug, by the increase in diseases brought on by unprotected sex.

It sounds bad, but 1 AIDS patient I'm sure is worth thousanads in drug drug profit over the course of there lifetime, isn't there a herpes pill now to? Really if I was selling VD related drugs, I'd cum over the place at the thought of everyone else cumming all over the place..   $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Vendaval -> RE: Male birth control, we are still waiting (8/6/2008 12:39:23 PM)

At the very least, a whole new market would open with men and couples wanting the new methods.
