I've long had a fantasy (idea?) for some sort of automatic whipping device, and am curious if anyone has any suggestions. Here's a list of my criteria, and then a few ideas I had of my own - feel free to critique (I'm not an engineer, so be kind... :) #1- Must be able to keep subject restrained for a specified amount of time, with a guaranteed release afterwards. #2- Must be able to operate for either a specific number of lashes, or barring that, an amount of time that could be used to estimate the general total. #3 - Must be capable of striking varying areas of the back or buttocks. I don't care how rhythmically or precisely, just so long as it's not hitting the exact same area over and over again for the entire time. #4 - Must have enough force to cause severe welts, so not just some gentle windshield wiper mechanism. #5 - And finally, it would be nice if the various whipping instruments were interchangable. Ie. rope one day, a strand of wire the next, depending on the mood. I was thinking for the restraints, some sort of electro-magnet strong enough to suspend someone by the arms while the power was on, but that would drop when the whipping was over. Like a magnet on the top of a pole, with a metal fastner attatched to the pole, and the hands bound to the fastner. Then with the "whip-swinger" for lack of a better term, something that can rotate around once extremely fast, and then reset. Barring that, perhaps a sturdy pair of oscillating fans - but I'm not really crazy about being whipped that fast. (If it wasn't obvious by now, I'm the intended "subject". :) Anywho, thanks in advance for your time and comments!

The folks at House of Gord have come up with several complex automated devices in the past. I don't recall any of them having the time-lock release mechanism (would you really want to have someone dropped from suspension when they night be in some altered state? It seems to be a recipe for unintended injury, but I digress...) but such a mechanism would be pretty easy to rig. ~stef

wow, what a great idea! (i love torture machine ideas.) seems to me it would be easy to make the whipping stop after a specified number of lashes without actually releasing (dropping) the victim. i guess the victim would just hang there until manually released. sounds like fun to me! it seems to me that there could be two parts to the control of this device, the whip assembly and the restraint. it might be easier to physically move the victim (by moving the restraints) than to move the whip assembly over the victim's body. also, a moving restraint opens up delicious possibilities like moving or jerking the victim up and down, rotating the victim like a spit, twisting him (her if you prefer), or even racking him by pulling up on the wrists and down on the ankles (or vice versa!). mmmm, can i try it out??? you could even have two victims restrained face-to-face or back-to-back. the restraints could be as simple as ropes or chains connected to sturdy tie points that are capable of being mechanically moved. i envision (because i have a fetish for them) those heavy medieval metal restraints that hold the wrists/ankles apart by a spreader strip of metal between the cuffs. the victim could be rotated as long as the wrists and ankles are held apart. meanwhile, the whip motor could be controlled for speed, and i like the idea of an interchangeable lash. i've always wanted to get whipped with an electrified lash -- how exciting -- but that could be possible with this device as well. so what you have is a torture program that can be preset and executed. you could even stop the program, have the victim remain on the machine, and have the program start again. could be pre-programmed or manually controlled -- i've read that fun things can be done with usb controllers. i would think a manual override and supervision would be important. it also needs to be possible to just pull the plug in an emergency. this may be improper sub attitude, or hypocrisy, or both, but if i were the victim (and it would be huge fun to be) i would immediately send any dom intending to use this on me unsupervised to have his or her head examined. have fun and thanks for the fantasy trip :-)

How about a exersise bike that if you slowed down would start the motor that had a lots of attachments(horse hair,leather straps, rope w/knot ends ect). That had electro magnet cuffs and waist cinch, that when you had peddled enough miles would release them???? I think I will get to work on this one [;)]

... or, for all of us rowing-slave enthusiasts (me, me me me me :-) ), an erg machine ... both the bike and the erg machine offer variable resistance as well. again, with the erg machine you could forget the auto-release; rowing slaves slept on their benches after all. auto-release might be needed for an exercise bike for balance reasons. this is a great thread :-)

Hey hotshot, Not a bad idea - moving the victim instead of the mechanism! I'll have to think about that one... Okay, as long as we're delving into the fantasy realm a bit, how about something that turns the victim on a spit like over a slow heat firepit of coals? Hot enough to hurt when it came around the downturn, but not hot enough to actually injure. Fire and hissing heat on one side, stinging lashes on the other... I'm drooling just thinking about it! And your idea of an electrified lash was a good one too! I'm sure there's gotta be some way of implementing that - it sounds like a lot of fun to be on the receiving end of! Ok looking fo second machine... Horse is not going to be happy with second tail trim LOL. timer working with miles so most of the fun stuff finished. Now does any one know how to get UL aproval.....LOL[:D]

Wow, you leave a topic alone for a week and look what happens. What fun ideas! WolfOnaLeash, I love the roasting idea! We could even throw in dripping candles and jets of salty lemon juice. This could go on and on and on! The forced-labor machines would have to control the whipping to decrease when the victim actually works (otherwise there's no incentive to work). An interesting twist to the exercise bike or erg machine would be to hook the wheel up to a generator that tortures the victim with current when he (she) does work. The current and whipping intensity would be controlled to achieve the maximum pain inflicted and labor extracted for each victim's own personality, pain tolerance, and physical ability. I think it's super hot to force a victim to torture himself in order to avoid a different torture. By the way, the word "shot" means whip, I believe, in both Arabic and Hebrew (correct me if I'm wrong), so that's where my screen name comes from. :-) I also love the idea of a dildo/butt plug added to the forced-labor machines. Anyone want to get in shape?
