My last job before I retired, and the most fulfilling for me, was as a nurse.....L.P..N. to be exact.  I worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home nursing.  Over the last 32 years, I have been a maid, laundry worker, farm worker, fast food hostess, retail clerk/stocker, secretary at the U.S. Customs, nurses' aide, and an unofficial listener/counselor, as well as a person who takes others to their appointments.  My most favorite job by far was as a nurse.....it allowed me to have a job that i dearly loved, to serve others, and to make decent wages (for around my area).

I've been an attorney for the past 36 years.  Before that a law clerk and an accounting intern, full time student.  I think I've done enough by way of employment and am trying to get off this merry-go-round.

I'm a barista!  Eventually I'll be a nurse, but for now this isn't a bad gig at all.

Subs/slaves have all types of jobs, obviously.  I see no pattern.

after school I did an apprenticeship (2 years) at a local court in Germany to work as a court employee (doing the admin stuff, kind of PA/Secretary), afterwards 2 years working as a temporary typist at a police department and then I listened to my boss and continued to climb up the ladder (gosh i wish sometimes he would have never said it...though that being said, it was a temporary contract anyway which was finished, so it was good to continue).

So I did a 4 year apprenticeship to work in childrens home with troubled kids...gosh I loved it...but once that was over the job market collapsed in the social sector in Germany and so I went to the UK...started at the bottom and worked as a live-in carer with often grumpy spinal-cord injured clients (I accused that of pushing me into my submissiveness, seriously!!!) then as a live-out carer (working in peoples homes on an hourly or several hourly basis but go back to my own place over night) and then managed to work here into a residential home for adults with learning disabilities.

however, as this job is by far not as satisfying for me as it used to be in Germany (as staff here isn't qualified and it simply does make a huge difference at work if you work with only qualified or mainly unqualified staff) I thankfully was informed that I can study social work over here when I have NVQ3 (in case I don't have A-levels...which I don't have...).

So I gave it a go and applied with my German Qualification and got a place into the course straight away...and hope to finish it for good next may...as it is time to get back my life finally and just work and earn proper money again..as I used to in Germany

I own and operate my own business. Before that I was an administrator at a major university.

I've been a division head for the National PTA, an event planner, a bartender or a waitress while I worked my way through school (I have a Master's degree).

It's been my experience subs often have high powered jobs. Mine (I switch in case you don't know) was a facilities director at a major university before he got laid off.

My favorite jobs have always been as an admin or secretary.

I have been a manager but I truly didn't enjoy it!

I have been a technical writer for a decade.

Plus 12 more. :/ It's getting old... or maybe that's me. ;) Consulted for most of that time; that's kept things interesting but not always lucrative, so recently I've settled down in one place. The nice thing about being a hired gun was I never had to worry about being someone else's manager. Good fringe for a submissive! :D

Social services, community based health care. Suits my skills and temperament. I find it easy to find just the right approach to dealing with people on their own terms, within their own realities.

I'm currently unemployed. :( Before this I did data entry for a part of the government, worked at a dog boarding kennel and before that at a kiosk in a mall selling gourmet doggie treats. All of these were summer jobs. Also dabbled in 3 years of college and dropped out as of this year because at the moment, it's a waste of time/money.
