Oh no...I just rented that the other night kittin and I liked it. It was definitely unsettling, but I did enjoy it. Oh I am referring to Funny Games.

The only movie I have ever walked out of was The Grudge. God what a yawn fest.   [8|]

Did you watch the original version of Funny Games, or the recent Hollywood remake (I don't even know if that one's out yet, and I'm too tired to Google lol)?

I know I walked out of a movie due to suction, but I can't remember what it was. I think I was with my brother, he turned to me and said "we gotta get out of here." We did.

I did leave Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, but that's because the person I was with was a poorly recovering addict, and wasn't taking it in the right spirit. I left the Adam Sandler movie with the adoption plot with the same person, because she started yelling at a group of kids that wouldn't shut up.

I've only walked out of one movie.  I jumped shipped from the fiasco The Pirate Movie starring Christopher Atkins as a teenager.  I wanted to walk out of cinema while viewing the sorta recent P.S. I love You.

Same thing happened to me. What a shitty movie. I can’t believe that I paid money for it. It has maybe two scenes worth watching (like the one where what’s his name is walking dog girl naked through his front yard).

I came close to walking out of Dune but I stuck it out (I now wish I hadn't).  The perpetrators of this travesty should be hung upside down by their balls - using fish hooks! - for taking one of the greatest novels ever written and turning it into a heaping pile of shit.

Since I don’t go to movie theaters very much I can’t think of any others but what about live theater? I walked out of a production of The Alchemist by Ben Jonson (a contemporary of Shakespeare). Hands down the most boring play I have ever seen.

...thats because Ben Johnson is dull. Now, Marlowe may be patchy but the good bits are incredible.

I saw Marlowe’s Edward II a year or two ago at Stratford (Ontario) and thought it was excellent. I found it fascinating that the Nobles didn’t so much object to Edward having a homosexual affair but that he was having an affair with a commoner (gasp!). And then there is the end scene (no pun intended). Even knowing in advance what his fate is doesn’t make it any easier to watch.

   my kids had convinced me to take them ( I didn't know anything about the tv show  my error)  and we sat there I think maybe 10 mins   when they began singing the Uncle Buck song> I grabbed my kids and said   no way  were going.

...i can never see the word 'pokemon' without thinking of that play.......

I've only ever walked out on one movie and that was "Drowning Mona".  OMG, it was awful.  From the previews, it looked funny, but I think they showed all the funny parts in the previews.  [sm=banghead.gif]

I wanted to walk out of Shyamalan's Lady in the Water, but since it was an in flight movie, I didn't.  I just kept wondering when it would improve.  The closing credits weren't so bad, so I guess that's when it did.

The Doom Generation was about the most godawful film aside from that...

Have yet to make it through any Spielberg; first one I walked out of was 'Close Encounters.'   I was just a kid, and even then I knew he's a ridiculous wanker, rich on other people's time and money.  I also discovered the power of leaving, and that he's not worth 2 hours of my life.  Next was 'ET'.   Last one was the woefully inaccurate Ryan's Privates.
All anti-science, racist and/or puerile humour.  Blaaarrrggghhh. Worse than 'Speed 2' or 'Mousetrap' or that horrible one by Liv Ullman.

And I love Nightmare before Christmas. And the Southpark movie.   And Peter Greenaway [but not his latest one]

Was that uncle buck or uncle fuck, cause on the show they also sing shut your mouth uncle fucker. and the whole song mostly consists of very crude language pepperd with the frase uncle fucker.

No- after the cost of getting into my seat I am watching the damned movie. Thankfully, I'm hilarious (at least to myself. In my head.) and if the movie is awful I'll just sit there and silently make fun of it. If I'm on a date, he's lucky enough to get the gems whispered into his ear! You can't lose! :D

I was there. There was a lot of moaning going on during this movie- and it wasn't the good kind. I really don't know how we got through it. We both tried not to judge, but when it was over, we looked at each other and were like-- WTF?????
 
The one movie I actually walked out of was Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I have a hard time watching stupid people behave stupidly. Make a decent decision already!!!! I can't sit through The Out-of-Towners for the same reason.
 
If Master had allowed it, I would have left during the third hour of the second Pirates of the Carribbean movie. His best friend was sitting beside me, whining "when will this movie end?!?" over and over. I was more amused by his ADHD than the endless movie.

I wanted to walk out on The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh. Wasnt my choice and i didn't pay.

Oh, another one I gladly walked out on... "Prospero's Books" It was so bad, I couldn't watch anything Shakespeare for about five years after... (and the Tempest is one of my favorites) Done by the same schmuck who did "The Cook, the Thief..."  Kinda figures, huh?
