I think this is one of those situations in which you have no idea what your reaction would be until it happens. If my Owner did this to me, I'd probably be terrified and sick at first, and ravenous with lust shortly thereafter. If someone I had literally just met did this to me, I'm guessing I'd come out swinging once the ropes here untied. However, I believe we've all been in situations where we've had sort of an instant 'click' with someone and would let them do to us things that we would never consider letting another do. Sounds like a cross between an amusment park ride and a terrifying brush with death. As a mind fuck on a first play date, I don't think I'd like that. Something down the line once trust is established, then maybe. If I know it wasn't an accident, then I wouldn't be able to trust him again for a good long time.

I see what you’re saying but it wasn’t for the laugh. Better comedy is obtained in much safer ways. It was a test of submission I would imagine. He was never one much for the “fuckaround”. Personal Opinion:

He's still going to filter out some genuine subs who don't like this kind of thing. There's a difference between agree to be hung over a sword and having someone pretend to drop you onto it.

I've read this over a couple of times now and several thoughts come to mind. I guess that my reaction would depend a lot upon what my goal with the Dominant was. Most likely the part that I am getting hung up on is the newness and the "test of submission" factor. Granted, I'm not one who plays casually with people that I don't know very, very well...but if it was a play situation I don't view that as "submission" at all. When I have played casually I agreed to take the bottom position in a scene...and to me that doesn't compare to submission. So if this were a scene I was in, it would be with someone I already knew very well and in that light it might be a really cool mind fuck.

Now on the other hand, if this were a dominant who I was just getting to know and had hopes of a future relationship...this would destroy all of those hopes in one hot second. The first part is again...the "test" of submission. In the "getting to know you" stage of a relationship...again, for me, submission is something that evolves naturally and grows and deepens in tune with the level of the relationship. When a dominant expects "all or nothing" right from the get go...well, that test of my submission is one that I would flat out fail in their eyes. Does that make me not "the real deal" or indicate that I can't "swim with the sharks"....well if that is what it indicates to that dominant then I'd have to say he's a fool.

It's difficult for me to try to imagine my reaction in the context in which you laid the scene out because I wouldn't ever be involved in such a scene with someone that I didn't know well. If that makes me not a "heavy player" and places me in the "fantasy role player" category in someone's eyes...oh well. But I would guess that if it played out exactly as you said with someone that I didn't really know or have any trust in...and I didn't consent to having this "unkown" person involved in that scene...the only thing that I can foresee him finding out about my "strength" in this "test of my submission" is that I am strong enough to beat the dogsnot out of him the moment I'm released.

See now you hit it on the head for me...that was pretty much the feeling I got from reading it too. It would trouble me if someone new read it and thought that this was some kind of a litmus test for being "real". Like if they weren't on board with it that would indicate that they aren't a "true" sub.

Frankly, a mind fuck in a club with a new girl is possibly the worst litmus test of submission I can think of. Her choices of agreeing or not don't leave her with any great outcomes. Either she's not twue or she risks being scared to death in the hands of someone she barely knows, let alone trusts. Sure, there may be a girl who would get off on it - or would say they did to appease the crowd - bully for them. How does this Dom know that the girl who doesn't agree or who has a bad reaction isn't the exact sort of submissive who would adore a fabulous mind fuck when trust is built in the relationship?

This sucks as a 'test of submission' and I'd hate if any newbies reading this thread thinks that if they can't agree to something like this then they don't pass the test, can't 'swim with the sharks' or 'join the big boys' club.'
