I was looking for some more corsets, something different, possibly more edgy or with more variety than the ones I currently own. Anyone have any recommendations?

Well, what sorts of corsets do you already have?

There's nothing like having one custom made. I'm in love with my House of Worship corset, and I have always admired the work of L'Escarpolette and Electra Designs, though both of them are hard to get commissions out of at the moment. The corsetry and corset makers communities on LJ are very active, and I'd try asking there with more specifics of what you're looking for. Even if you don't post, they're great for eye-candy!

As far as which ones I already have. I have some pretty ,generic ones from Agent Provocateur and then some black and red cinched waists and typical over bust ones from local fetish shops.
Not sure why Ive never thought of a custom made one.. Thx!

Oh, I've also seen plenty of good things from Starkers and Puimond. I would loooove to have a Puimond long-line underbust.

I'll probably continue to think of custom corset makers for the next hour or two, haha.

I have always found Versatile Fashions to be a good place for corset. I have several and they are of good quality and excellent for tithtlacing. If you would like to add a little something extra, try Laced and Locked. Enjoy.

I lust after some of the full length corset coat designs, and have intentions to acquire a tulip skirt and a couple of different cinchers. But they have more outright different designs of corset than I've seen on any other single site.

Meschantes makes a very comfortable, very inexpensive corset for waist-training, if you're into that. After you send in your measurements, you get your corset custom-made and shipped to you within two weeks. Three years later, I'm still bubbling with enthusiasm for my Meschantes corset.

Check out Delicious Corsets. Psydde is doing some truly amazing work. If you want edgy, it'd be his line of "deconstructed corsets". He's also come up with dresses with corsets built in.

It's possible that at any given time Passional Boutique might actually have more of his stuff in stock than he does.

Either one would be worth the drive down from New York. But they'll both be at Floating World this weekend.

In Houston there is a most skilled woman who makes custome corsets. Her waiting list is long, but from the things I've seen, well worth it. I haven't had one made yet - I just need to find the time for a fitting.
