Have you formed any vague generalisations about any group as to whether they are likely to be kinky? I have a few: most rich men; politicians; clergy; and scientists. People I don't expect to be kinky? Zoo keepers; models; sales people and fast food workers. There's very little evidence for any of this....it's just stray impressions I have formed. Don't have a clue why. candystripper

That's funny I have thought that too! Say for instance... You local firefighter? They are always wearing that heavy bunker gear and Scba! Or the Dog catcher. LOL but Then I'm thinkin ya know there are those quiet types that you would never suspect like Librarians, Sunday School teachers...LOL yep I have too had that thought! Thanks for the Smile![:)]

I usually suspect everyone of being a kinkster until proven beyond a shadow of a doubt otherwise. Since that can't ever be proven unless I become a mind reader, I'm not easily surprised by who is anymore. It's when I find someone who actually looks the part (goth kids, bikers, stereotypes like that) who's never done anything kinkier than doggy style that I'm really floored.

I expect: Leather workers, theatre folk, people who work at ren fairs, webcomic artists and the others involved in the geek community. Don't expect: Now that I think about it... there really aren't a lot of professions where I don't think that there is at least a reasonable chance of people being kinky. I guess the closest are those who are orthodox, clergy and professors. Dunno why either.

Some professions attract kink.. psychiatric workers pops to mind. Some professions require kink be hidden if at all there... anything requiring a government clearance. Stefan

I know this is going out on a ledge here, but I suspect that a great deal of professional dominants are kinky. Now, I don't have any statistics to back this up, but they just seem so much like they're probably kinky. Maybe it's the clothing. Maybe it's the fact that their jobs have such a similarity to kinky behavior. Maybe it's me, meaning that because they realize I'm kinky, they automatically become kinky as a defense response. I mean, it could be anyone of these things. Somethings just seem too obvious to not be correct.

Bikers....everyone I have ever ridden with seems to have some kink. And teachers...no real proof of this maybe Im hoping. weg

As a generalization, I expect all humans that are not asexual to be kinky in some way, hell even some asexual folks might have something that does it for them without involving sex... So my generalization is that I expect all living folks to be kinky.

until i was 40+ didn't know it existed, let alone practiced it ... but i don't think it has anything to do with professions, more where you live/work and what you are exposed too! how open minded you are ... and mostly how you've been raised ... how many of us have come from strict, backgrounds with a strong religious overtone ... we've rebelled or been attracted to the unknown .. then there's those that have been raised to try everything .. do anything ... as long as it's a form of SSC. I think the first is better, it's mine and i still feel like i'm breaking the rules just by putting on black stockings ... yeah yeah , ok i do need to get a life ...

one of my motos to live by; Why do we have to say, "lifestyle", "normal life", "vanilla"? Cant we all just get along. Cant we rise up like the gay prides and just say i refuse to live in a dungeon anymore! O wait lol never mind. (the password is...) ;) the only people i dont think are kinky are the ones i dont find attractive like the ones who abuse animals... and well my mom (o God im gonna hurl!!)
