Sandyshores29718 -> Not just a bladder infection... (8/14/2008 4:51:04 PM)

So..first of all I will admit I was slow minded Monday. After dealing with some light itching/burning and talkign to my mother and aunt we figured it might be the start of a yeast infection. EVEN though there was no discharge nor smell(yes I know it doesnt always have a smell). I went and got some stuff at walgreens to take care of it. OMG! When the insert broke down the fire started. :( I had to wash it out and then went to put lube on myself to help cool down..and THAT burned too..Finally after using ice ( I hate ice ) it felt a lot better. Tuesday I went to the doctor to see if he was a bladder infection and he told me I tested postive from the pee test for a bladder infection.  Well, now I'm worried I might have a chem burn on my pussy. I have one more pill left of antibotics to take and thats tomorrow morning and it still burns like the devil when I use the restroom. Well, after looking I can see some small cuts kinda and that would explain the burn. No, it doesnt look like herpes either. Also, I'm a little swollen too. Could this be from a chem burn? I've told myself if its not better when the weekend is over I shall go back to the doctor. Does anyone have a clue what this might be? Really...this pain is NOT the good pain. :(

Was there any sex or rough play before it happened?

I'm sorry you're in such pain.  Where do you figure you would have gotten a chemical burn from?  The yeast medicine?  Have you used it before - it could be a reaction.

From http://www.rxmed.com/b.main/b2.pharmaceutical/b2.1.monographs/CPS-%20Monographs/CPS-%20(General%20Monographs-%20M)/MONISTAT.html

Discontinue medication if sensitization or other signs of irritation (rash, burning, blistering, redness), not present before therapy, occur from intravaginal or topical use. Avoid contact with the eyes.

In general, the complaints reported with miconazole therapy concerned vulvovaginal burning, itching, irritation, pelvic cramping, edema as well as hives and rash.

A total of 1 089 patients participated in clinical evaluations of miconazole nitrate 2% vaginal cream administered in dosage regimens of varying duration. Of these, 59 patients reported reactions which were possibly drug related but not severe enough to cause discontinuation of therapy, 4 patients discontinued therapy due to vulvovaginal burning and itching, and 1 patient discontinued therapy due to hives.

A total of 1 724 patients participated in clinical evaluations of miconazole nitrate 100 mg vaginal suppositories administered in dosage regimens of varying duration. Of these, 3 patients reported reactions which were interpreted as minor treatment emergent signs and symptoms (burning, itching, edema) and considered by the investigators to be nontherapy related. No patients were reported to have discontinued therapy due to drug related reasons.

The 3-day treatment with miconazole nitrate 400 mg vaginal ovules was exceptionally well tolerated by a total of 410 patients in 3 clinical studies, without any related side effects. However, the generally reported complaints referred to above could be expected with this dosage form and regimen as well.

The combination pack products combine a small amount (9 g) of miconazole nitrate 2% cream to be applied externally during a course of therapy with miconazole nitrate vaginal suppositories or ovules so a similar safety and efficacy profile, as with each individually, could be expected.

Yes, that weekend. I actually had to ask him to let my body rest because I started to spot a little from our play.

Needing:  The yeast medicine is the only thing that I can think of. It was my first time using it.

I'm kinda getting worried though, I'm looking around on webmd way too much and a lot of the issues I'm having DOES run along with herpes, but then again it does other stuff too. [:(]

greetings sandy,

This isn't herpes.  It sounds like the rough play is to blame, and you've gotten some of the medication into the cuts (which compounds the irritation and swelling).  You might also have a reaction to the cream.  I'd discontinue using it, just to be safe.

You can use 4 parts water to 1 part malt vinegar in a wash to try and "bring your body around" to its natural balance, and cure the itching.  Stay away from tight underwear/jeans, and make sure to get a lot of air to the area.  Stay away from sugary foods (the sugar tends to aggravate yeast infections and the like) drink a *lot* of water...at least 10 glasses a day (to flush the infection from your bladder) and wash your genitals liberally with warm water a few times a day, then thoroughly pat dry.  Stay away from soaps, creams, douches, and anything else that is used for "hygiene" reasons.  Your body should correct itself.

I really hope this helps!  If you need anything else, feel free to cmail me!

well wishes,

Thanks. I was checking myself out tonight and noticed a few places where I was bleeding...and that theres a little and i mean a very little white discharge almost close to cum..wondering if its the antibotics and if I might have a small yeast infection now. *sigh*  Thanks XaviersXian
