In one years time, I have become the home with the best garden on the block. A passerby wanted to know what the different plants were. I told him the best I could. I have a unique signature trim to the butterfly bushes. Later that night I began thinking how I always admired the house with a nice garden. Renting for 15 years was not conducive to gardening. I had limited permission at one place. But that isnt the same.

I guess it makes me feel young to be outside puttering around. As a kid we had alot to explore - the lot next door was a praire-semi swamp, then a quarry accross the street- and of course hikes on the railroad tracks to the canal.

I have become a leading expert in my field of testing electronics in their design phase to make sure they will hold up under real life circumstances. It was not a lifelong dream - LOL. I kind of fell into it and found out that my mix of logic and teaching skills and patience with English as a second language have pulled together to allow me to do a job that I know ends up affecting millions. It's a great feeling.

i've become quite of a local celebrity that other critics know of me and/or my reviews. i'm well known among the many bands(over 400) i've reviewed in the last 2yrs. i even had to start a roledex just to keep up. my radio station/myspace inbox receives requests from recording management to either check out their bands or review the CDs/shows. so far, 10 bands have been featured in local publication - thanks to me putting them on the map about their music and/or shows.

now that i'm also writing for another site, i'm expanding my fanbase with my articles ...and that's taking off quite well too.
