Does anybody know if a tear in the eye could be from play. Like in hard face slapping or head getting stompped on? A eye doctor sees something but isnt sure if it is just a floater or a tear,

Yes, that can be from play. But it also could be something else. If you saw an optometrist, go see an opthalmologist.

If there is a tear you would feel it. I've had my eyeball scratched and it hurt and felt like something was in my eye, constantly scratching it. Yuck. I have floaters and while I see them I don't feel them. I've had them for years.

I agree with Cali - go to an opthamalogist. I can't imagine a tear occuring without direct impact on the eyeball, but if your eye hurts, have it checked out.

I need to see a specialist and am trying to find one. The medical doctor I went to for a referral asked if there was any pain and there isnt so I am hoping it is just a floater which I used to have but dont see them anymore. Thanks.

Have it properly checked out, as a "floater" can indicate the onset of a blood vessel leaking a tiny amount into the fluid in the eye.

It caught early enough, it can be effectively handled.

Why take the chance if you don't have to?

I am trying to but the waiting list is two years where the people is sent to and no insurance. Hoping I can find a doctor. I am older so the floaters could just be from age. Thanks for answering.

the eyes are more vulnerable than you might think, - get them checked.

Get thyself to an ophthalmologist not an optometrist.
The waiting list is never 2 yrs.

i have floaters and mine is due to sarcoidosis
