FangsNfeet -> Having Auctions in BDSM (11/22/2005 3:49:03 AM)

Every now and then I see BDSM groups have slave/sub auctions and the normally go okay for the most part. However, I wonder how a Dom Auction would go? Subs, slaves, switches, and doms who want training would be allowed to bid on Doms. The Dom would be obliged to session and are teach the one who bought them through the night on negotiated terms.
These sessions can be done openly in the scene or in private as the purchaser sees fit.

Would any groups be willing to try this?

Those auctions you see are almost always just for scenes and for that night only. In our groups, we get a large chunk of fem bottoms, a small chunk of male bottoms, and a few scattered dominants to get up for auction most of the time.

Auctioning off doms for training would be a far greater responsibility and long term commitment. Unless you're using a different idea for training than I am.

Well, I don't see why it should be more problematic than a slave auction... Although I would insist on doing the session publicly - even for a Dom(me) I think it would not be wise to do scene with a stranger at home.

PRivately does not always mean at home. Some places have rooms you can go in and shut the door, Or some kind of privacy arrangement.

If the alledged dom is new what are they going to teach the seasoned veteran? Aside from that most groups that have auctions do it for some sort of charity. Most do not even play.
I was sold here about 2 month's ago now at one of our local dungeons and we did not play. The dom who purchased me did not care to. Nor did most any of the others who were purchased.
Hmm, would I purchase a dom. Probably for charity but I sure would'nt be expecting to play with ther person.

Also, there is a local dungeon here...the BDSM group I run is hosting a party there this weekend. There are private room's where you can shut the door if you do not wish to play in public.
