Status: offline 		why is it that some people think that, just because i'm a man that i am into things like sports, westerns, war flicks and boy's night out? and, when they find out i do not like these things, they automatically think i'm gay? is it a requirement for men to have to be into these things?

i am not gay. hell, i can barely stand to be near men as it is. can someone please explain this to me? i'm at a complete loss.

I don't all men are supposed to like the same things (I agree with you sports I'm boring...but I'm a chick...so) but...most men are a lot more simple minded than women (and guys, this is a good thing)... so you shouldn't be worrying or thinking too much about this stuff-

In a similar vein, why is it that when I had short hair (buzzed) and when I talked about stuff like video games, I automatically became a lesbian.

Gods but I detest random gender-based assumptions.

Status: offline 		i can't help but think about it since everywhere i go, some guy is asking me about some dumb sporting event or other. they are a waste of MY time so they think i must be gay if i don't like those "macho" things.

People like short cuts. They like boxes. They like being able to shove things into neat little containers. They don't understand how a X could also be included in Y.

Whether it's a slut who also has committed relationships, a slave who also tops, a christian who celebrates hanukkah...once you cross those invisible "lines" you will feel the pressure to fit into the little boxes people want you in.

Status: offline 		i'm not into any of those things unless you count martial arts as a sport, and i'm quite straight. Only time i've encountered anything remotely close to assuming i'm gay was a message complimenting my profile and mentioning that She looked at it because She couldn't tell what gender i was from one of my posts, but that's barely even remotely close. i try not to let worries about what other people think i'm looking for genderwise affect my personality.

As for men being more simple minded... the only reason i'm probably sane is because i think i've thought so much about thinking that i've overcomplicated my thinking needlessly to the point of thinking that the thought of that is the only thing possibly overcomplicated... which probably makes no sense to anyone, but that's a close to raw dump of what has been on my mind lately, which is vastly different from "sex" that the simple minded man is suposed to be always thinking about. i could accept that men don't show a lot on the outside generally, but men being more simple minded is just something comedians say to be funny. People accept that because it's easy to. Then again i might be different from "men" and therefore not know what i'm talking about in this regard.

another thing, i love to cook and bake. i enjoy shopping.

It's called "The internet" Not "Personal Answering Service."

Plus, it turns people off when you talk about people NOT posting. Look at the forums, females are extremely more fruitful posters than males overall.
