I’m reading a book called ‘How to read’. Due to the fact it has no pretty pictures I’m struggling with it though.

Just finished In the Shadow of the Gargoyle  a short story collection
reading  Forests of the Heart by Charles de Lint
and The Heart of the Buddha's Path  HH Dalai Lama (again)
and constantly referring to Vasistha's Yoga which when I can actually understand fully, I can sit down and die...
Oh...and going through the last two issues of 'Parabola'

I'll admit to it, I'm reading something kind of silly.  A friend who works in children's publishing got me hooked on the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz.  They're young adult books aimed at boys and feature a British, teenage boy who is a spy -- kind of like a male, teenage version of Alias.  Action-packed and surprisingly gory, they're a lot of fun and entertain me on my commute.

Though once I finish with Alex Rider, to regain my credibility, I might have to read something lofty and serious like the collected works of Mayakovsky...or the new Stephanie Plum book coming at the end of the month.

The Power of Now.....Eckhart Tolle

A couple coffee table books I like to pick up now and then

I have just sat down to read the entire group of the Marketplace series.  I read them a few years back but not in order so I thought I would take the time to read them all at once.

"Room with a View" is a fabulous  movie.  A few years old with a
very young Helena Bonham-Carter and Daniel Day Lewis.  Check it out after you finish the book.

I'm reading "The Human Stain",  "In the Company of the Courtesan",
and "Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care".  Got my first grandbaby
on the way!
