Yes, tee, as usual, you seem to have grasped the essence of the gunkholing competition. Just one , or even two or three would not be "sporting" as you say. This is one instance where "the more, the merrier" definitely applies. To what address shall I mail your application ?

Unfortunately (Or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I started a new job a couple of weeks ago and wont be able to take the time off.  Hopefully I can catch ya'll on the flip flop :-)

i am beyond bummed!!!! i seriously thought i had him talked into going. But, this morning He informed me that because He had to take Friday off due to my accident He wouldn't have enough time off to go to this and be at His sister's wedding. Of course, i tried to talk to Him about priorities and what not....
i'm so disappointed. i really wanted to meet Steel, Andi, Cali, and the lot of You.

Thanks GT. Truth is at this point i can not even imagine how exciting that would have been. Oh well, at least i might get out of going to His sister's wedding. That is, of course, unless His mom does the inviting.

Sir is going to be flying me to Vegas while he was working there for a week. The weekend of the 23rd had a shot of being in sync with his business. The 16th definately is not the week. Its later in the month. Although anyone who wants to meet with me in vegas when I am there. I am going to be on my own most of the time as he will be working from sun up til late. So a pal to pal around with would be really fab!

The Stratosphere Hotel is having a sale right now (it said "12 hour sale", but I don't know when it ends).  You can get a variety of rooms for $325 or less (total) for three nights.  This is about half price for some of the rooms.  For instance, you can get a room with 1 king or 2 queen size beds for $284 (plus tax) or add a jetted spa tub and it's about $303 (plus tax).  And for those who might find it important and/or amusing, they have two pools, one of which is a "topless optional" pool, on the 25th floor.

Kirk and I, and Steel and Andi are booked into the Stratosphere.  We're arriving on Thursday October 16, and leaving Sunday, October 19. FYI:  for other couples wanting to share, we booked a 1 bedroom king suite with a sofa bed, dining table, and kitchenette for $500 for the three days, so the cost per couple is down to $250. They have suites with and without separate bedrooms, so make sure you read the room description before you book.

I've gotten some cmails from people asking if anyone can come, and the answer is yes!!!  This is not a typical "hosted" party in that it's not at someone's house.  If anyone wants to go, just send me a cmail when you have your hotel/airfare/whatever locked up, so I know you're really going to be there, and we can exchange regular email addys and cell phone numbers so we can all hook up for the festivities.

New "12 hour sale" is up on the Stratosphere site. I just booked a king bed/ with spa for $246 plus tax  for the weekend. ($50 less than when I looked yesterday)!

Wyld, I was about to get ticked because the new sale is 40% and 50% off.  But then I noticed that the type of room we booked, 1 bedroom suite, is sold out for some of the days we will be there.  There are "studio" suites still available if anyone wants those, but not the ones with a separate bedroom.  There's still lots of stuff available for under $300 for 3 nights.

Cool!  I have a business meeting some time on Friday (exact time not firmed up yet), but other than that, we have no other commitments.  Yep, I managed to finangle this into being a business trip.  I do consulting for a group out of Vegas, but we've never met in person, and I've been working for them for over 4 1/2 years!
