I really do not get the whole Wii thing until mini me wanted one and i spent about a year looking and TODAY i finally got the unit . the whole supply and demand thing i guess , and those greedy sorts who buy and put them on ebay and craigs list Grrrr .
Anyway it shall make a good gift and my efforts i hope shall be payed off by a joyus kiddie face .
Any who have this thing can you recomend software ??I know i also want the Wii fit . which i hear is as tough to find as the base unit ..

isnt there an eb games in your area? electronics boutique....they have good prices on gaming and you can trade stuff.

Wii's are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

too bad I cant afford one. *pouts*

But the most awesomest game ever that you will like too is Rayman Raving Rabbids. There is also Lego Star Wars... it sounds lame.. but it is pretty cool. Wii Sports is cool.... Mario Super Cart is pretty cool. Knights Journey of Dreams the um likes as well....

Faery , i have not seen and eb's we have game stop and some other places for used games but the wii fit and the main console itself is very tough to get . Took me a long time almost a year just to get the Wii itself . and now its going to be stashed til the holidays.

wii big brain academy is good to have too. It challenges just about every part of your brain. There's auditory challenges, memory challenges, math challenges etc.... Paper mario is fun, carnival games is one you can play together, meet the robinsons is really tough, plus if you can connect your wii to the internet you can download just about any game from any previous nintendo system. Like the original super mario brothers, zelda stuff like that.

The Wii Fit is great. Walked into Best Buy and they had a pile of them. Call your local store and ask when they're getting in a shipment.

Just a suggestion...before you blow $$$, rent a game you're interested in from Blockbuster and see if it's something that will have staying power.

I called the local best buys , they had a shipment of Wii fit's they said a whole big stack of them . They were right down the street i slapped my shoes on hopped in the jeep and got there within Mins .As i walked in i saw the last one leave the store , so this so called big stack was eaten up in aprox 4-6 mins today , but i shall keep searching i have til the holidays

Thanks for that 411 hellcat , i doubt i shall hook it up to the net , and i am far from a techie wiz so just getting it up and running should be enough of a task for me .Thanks all for the help and input .
LOL and i thought the PS3 was tough to get ..

My mom has a wii.. I shoulda tried it last time I was there, but I only had about 48 hrs and we were going to a wedding....*sigh*
