ORIGINAL: MadameMarque Girth helps stimulate the G-spot, and length can allow deep enough penetration to contact the cervix. Something larger moving in and out is also more likely to cause incidental clitoral stimulation. These are all very real, objective reasons that size makes a difference. Wait... is feelin up on the cervix a good thing? I thought it was uncomfortable/painful. One of my exes hated to do doggie because she said she felt me hitting her cervix. ah. Most women are hurt by having it hit too hard. Women do vary in how tender they are, there, but ramming it like you're trying to get through to the other side (!) is too much for most women and can be bruising. Stimulating the cervix, by bumping, jarring, or "massaging" (grinding with penetration), during penetration, is pleasurable for a lot of women, but it's a subtle sensation, unless it's too hard; the sensation transfers to the general area. You may have to adjust position, speed, motion, whatever.
