I see all the time on off cans and other mosquito repellants not to exceed a certain amount of time on the skin or do not apply more than 7 times, and really that's just bullshit, cause if you can't wear it continually while it's mosquito season what's the point.

I am being eaten alive I am averaging like 5 bites a day, and my Daddy, well he's got over 30 welts right now, that do not go away in a hour or so like mine, so we're both pretty itchy and unhappy. A lot of times we wake up with them, having been bitten while we were asleep.

So we need something we can wear all the time* and no not clothing * that w/ill stop these lil fuckers from having a free feast everytime I/ we turn around. Any recomendations, besides burning citronella candles constantly lol.

A lot of people swear by avon's skin so soft... worth a shot (and since its something you can infact wear 24/7, if it works you'll never have to worry about how often you apply.)

I don't know how much help this might be, but one thing to keep in mind during the day is that mosquitoes are attracted to darker colors so you want to wear light and bright colors...which of course then attract the bees.  At night, while sleeping, I will sleep under just a sheet, and I spray the sheet...not me...with the repellent which seems to work pretty well.   Another alternative might be to use mosquito netting around the bed.  I hate the feel of repellent so try to avoid it any time I can.

One thing that many people don't know is that mosquito "repellant" does not really "repell" mosquitoes.  It simply covers your "scent" so the mosquito can't smell the CO2 given off by your body.

Leave a light on when you sleep, preferably not too close to where you are sleeping but about 10 or 12 feet away.

i'm allergic to 'deet' in 'off' and fragrances, so i'm shit out of luck for repellent usage, however, i wasn't always allergic to fragrances, and when that was the case, i rubbed a scented dryer sheet all over my body and it worked every time!

Part of the problem of being so accesible to bite is, that we're naked all the time. I next to never wear clothing since I am home all day, day in and day out, with exception of when I need to go out, and we both sleep naked. WE're under blankets, but of course,  we probably come out from under the covers or are not fully covered all the time, cause we wake up with bites on our ass or our  inner thigh or a foot ect, ect.

Burts Bees has a repellent without DEET that uses essetial oils instead. Look at health food stores for it. I know they have it out here, as well as at Walgreens and Whole Foods.

I vote for the Burts Bees one... expensive, but very very good. Works well + no nastiness + smells heavenly.

o0o0o. I'll get some Bert's tomorrow!
OP -- at least you know what's going on. Those little bastards bite me through my clothes! Not to mention they most likely follow me inside, seeing as how I have bites in my arse. I guess that's what I get from being so sweeeeet... Yeah, I'm gonna go with that one...

I used to send my UM off to scout camp with a mosquito repellent bracelet such as this one.  She never came home with bites when she used it.

basin stores ( they have two - but a great online site too) sell a cintronella soap.
We didn't use it 24/7 but we did use it on the days we were camping.

There is a product a friend slapped on me the 4th of July this year.
It's called "The bug patch"  deet free.  You wear it 36 hours at a time, dispose of it and
put a new one on.  Look's almost like a smoking patch.
It work's wonderfully.  Before asking her where she got it I looked everywhere for it.
Come to find out she picked it up at the local walmart.

About 3.50 for 6 patches.

I never realized how lucky I was not to be allergic to the mosquito bites until recently.
When I camp, and I a told this works well in the house too, I spray the repellants on clothes and the tent, not on me. Here in the house, I spray bug repellant and bug killer around the windows and doors. So far, in house we have been bite free. I just keep citronella disks (they are usually worthless if you wear them, but they do pretty wll around windows) up in the summer

they love the walls and ceilings of my room, I am beginning to think I should spray the ceilings. I count at last 12 each night just sitting there hanging out.
