Umm, do you have java downloaded? The chatrooms require java to work.

I had problems with my other computer and virus program and had to shut it off to go into the chats here.  Since that wasn't happening, I didn't go.  With my vista, I didn't have a problem getting in.  So I think it may be your virus protection.  You can avoid it all if you look into mIRC and can figure out how to work it or know someone who can walk you through it.  Good luck!

Not saying that it will work, being Vista, but the java software does NOT come from Microshaft, it comes from Sun Mircrosystems.

When I upgraded to XP I had to get a new version. This is probably the same problem. Should've paid for them to put XP on your PC instead of Vista. I wish I could still use 98SE, but I was forced into the upgrade.

Just search for java update and look at the URLs, among the first should be sunmicrosystems.com or something like that. You can tell the computer to always trust content from them, they are a reputable company, but I would rather still be asked so you might not want to. Just tell it to go ahead and install. Sun Microsystems is reputable, in fact some will probably say more reputable than Microhard.
