I know there has been some recent posts going...can you help...and some symptoms but unknown what it is. I have a co-worker and her husband ended up in the hospital and is on a long road to recovery and initially they thought he had pneumonia, west nile and a varied other things. What they have discovered is that he has Q Fever. It is so important to just keep hounding the docs until you find one where you can ask the right questions and in order to do so you need knowledge. Here is the link to the CDC website.

I had never heard of Q fever, thanks for the info.  I hope your friends fully recover.

Thank you for posting. I agree that people need to take as much responsibility for getting proper medical treatment and information as they can. Throwing yourself at a doctor, and assuming that one is the same as another, and that any given doctor will know everything, make the right diagnosis first try, and "make it all better" is not enough. Best wishes to you and your friend.
