The plain and simple fact of the matter is that ANY Democratic ticket should have been leading, be leading, and continue leading ANY Republican ticket by a double-digit margin. This was the Democrats election to lose, and they appear to be well on their way to doing exactly that. :-)

That link also doesn't talk about the procedures used, or the number of voters involved in the sampling. Thanks for the link though, it is referring to the same poll that they released yesterday, and has already been figured into the RCP avg.

I hope McCain wins, because.... on this day, one day after the political right has successfully socilaized the housing sector in this country, I can see no better reward for these faux conservatives running today's Republican show than to ride this bad economy all the way to the bottom. They broke it, they have to buy it. Since McCain named Palin his VP, a new poll suggests, McCain has picked up a surge of white women voters. Before the conventions, Obama enjoyed an 8 point lead among white women (50%-42%). After the conventions, McCain now has a 12 pt advantage over Obama in that same demographic (53% to 41%). The poll was done by ABC News. How can she work to restrict other families to this option when she cannot make abstinence-only work in her own home. That would be downright comical, along the same lines of Bill Clinton legislating his views on marriage to the nation right after the Monica debacle. And when Brittany Spears' 16 y.o. sister became pregnant, the faux conservatives were quick to chalk that up to bad parenting. My, how all of a sudden those same faux conservatives are claiming teen pregnancy has become a righteous and private affair.
