As this goes on You can ad more things.
 
What kind of Island would you have, and what would be on it?
 
Oh and the name of it?  You can invite one person a day on it.
 
Mine would be called Exodus, Isle of the blessed.
 
5 miles on each side. Palm trees, Banana trees, Acai berry trees, and all the Mona Vie I could ever want.
 
Also a Solar powered Bose Radio CD player.
 
I'm inviting CalifChick.

MY Island would be a lot like Aldous Huxley's Island. Devoted to the arts, meditation, sustainable agriculture, spiritual discovery, and so on. Good chemists. Lots of mushrooms. Lots of scientific research, like alternative energy, advanced housing, stuff like that.

I would like a tropical island.  With those sugar plant things.  I am inviting Bounty.  And the Swiss Family Robinson.  They could make anything.

Mine would be secluded and semi-tropical. Very warm not so humid. Everything I needed to subsist would be right on that island. Full of beaches and sand and a cute little cottage right on the water. Something comfortable and homey. I don't think I'd invite anyone other than whomever I chose to spend my life with. I don't need internet, or webcam, or cell phone.

Jamaica without all the crime, poverty and political unrest. It would be a monarchy (ME) and the country would be run for the people, not a select few greedy bastards.

I was just really saddened when I visited there, at the potential, how really beautiful it is, yet being managed so poorly.

an island with the basic comforts (ie a flushing toilet), about a dozen kinky Doms, Wolfgang Puck.....and me.

Fine, then I'm taking The Professor, Ginger, and Maryann [8D]

And Bermuda, my absolute favorite vacation destination. Just have to cut the population by about 85% to free up the roads for me to drive like a fool.

**Eta, my ideal island.............ahhhh, how often I've thought of this place....Borabora, huts at the end of a mile long dock
A large bedroom w/a glass wall, bed faces the glass so I wake up each morning looking at the sun/blue water.  A hammock everywhere so I can just lie about, sway slightly w/the breeze. I'd have an endless supply of books, newspapers & wine coolers!
Cell phones turned OFF so no incoming calls,  a laptop, unplugged 95% of the time :)  I'd have the occasional Dom to satisfy my needs but he must be gone within 24-48 hrs....poof and reappear as needed :)

My immediate family would occupy the other huts. I'd swim all day w/the kids, my daughter, her hubby & I would home school them then they'd go into town and leave me alone for the evening :))  (Hey, it's MY dream so I can have an imaginary town for them to disappear in for a few hours).

My island would be made up of a floating artificial superstructure topped with topography, flora, and fauna from all around this vast globe. My island would have the ability to freely float the ocean's currents, but have the ability to motor on out to avoid the maelstroms.

As to who would I invite... hmmm. I guess I'm pretty open about it. My mailbox is always open should anyone wish to submit their application. You must like a variety of climates though... from the sunny tropical beaches to the steamy rain forests to snowy ski slopes.

Did I mention this island was going to be big?

My Island would have lots of sandy beaches and very consistent wind to get my kite up and me out onto the water.  It would need enough food to keep me healthy and active, and the weather be perfect to hit the water all day, everyday.
