Nothing is as intense as branding ones own slave with an iron made just for her.  My slave was branded several years ago on a very special evening and although it has faded some, it still represents a turning point in our relationship.  She has told me on several occasions that it was the most exciting experience of her life, and it was sure up there on mine.  After care was important and it healed quite well within a few weeks.  It was truly a deed that made proud.

I like using...a well sterilized  paper clip shaped like a letter works great...the hotter the deeper the brand.Treat with burn cream.I have done it and yes it hurts...but it quickly fades as the adrenaline kicks in.

Of course if your doing a brand like with cattle your going to have to take further precautions.Other forms of Branding I have not done.

Paper clips are not safe or recommended for branding all the branding info says not to use them. They can leave mettle debris in the burn and other debris

Paperclips ... The Dollar Tree version of branding. :)

On a more serious note, yes it is a bit pricey to actually find a professional who's been trained to brand human flesh and knows what they're doing, but seriously now ... If you're marking (or being marked) as a symbolism of the relationship you share with another person, wouldn't it be worth the investment to know FOR CERTAIN that the brand itself is going to be a work of art for years to come?

Never had a problem with any metal coming off...I burn all the coating off 1st,perhaps that makes a difference..I have done quite a few with My S shaped clip.I even took some pics of the last one I did.
I beleive there are risks with anything and you should always use your best judgement when doing anything.

PS: TexasMaam - cold-branding is supposed to make any hairs growing back in the branded area come through white. Is that true?

If you're talking about a horse, or cattle, yes, that's true.  Horses and cattle have thick hide, so if you leave the freeze brand in contact with the shaved, prepped skin, with moderate pressure, 21 to 28 seconds, it only reverses the hair color, turns dark hair white or light hair black.  If you leave it in contact for 40 seconds or longer, the hair follicle is destroyed and the scar will be smooth hide, no hair.

I am acquainted with a fellow who delivers liquid nitrogen to medical supply facilities.  He once had some liquid nitrogen splatter, (it's bad about splattering), and a large globule landed on his scalp.  His dark brown hair has an elliptical spot of white hair right on top of his head as a result.

When branding skin, though, you generally want to leave the branding iron in contact for approximately 20 seconds, allowing for gender differences.  A man's skin might need 24 seconds, a woman's only 16-18.  That's usually enough contact to leave a bright pink scarified surface that's permanent.  It also depends on the pressure that's applied when making contact from branding iron to skin:  heavy pressure can make the freeze go much too deep, leaving permanent damage to the muscle.  Too light and it will heal and fade to an imperceptible shadow in less than a year.

It takes experience and a bit of finesse.  I wouldn't recommend that  just anyone try a freeze brand.  But then, I wouldn't recommend that just anyone try their hand at a hot iron brand, either!

This is a reasonable post........

Due to past history I will refrain from saying this is the codex on the subject.  But the post is fairly comprehensive. (I rather agree........)

We are doing a branding today. it's one of a series we are doing for someone with a pen.
she and i designed a tree to cover an M she had branded on her chest.
another good reason to have a symbol or something intead of someones name or int, etc....find something YOU want to mean whatever to you...like the lips we found to do me with. it was a kiss that lasted to me, one he could give me that i could look at and remember just how much he does love me.
doing a name or int's...just doesn't show alot of imagination if ya ask me....finding a drawing or symbol that will still give you happiness long after it is done, no matter the life lived afterwards, just makes more sense!

We did one to me using a metel cookie cutter heated up with a blow dryer. it left this very thin red line for about a year. it was a pair of lips, i call it my daddy's kiss, giggles.
i do have to admit...i yelled "Take it off, take it off" when he did it, lol....and of course he was telling me "No" while he pushed it into my butt check. mean ol meanie, hehehehehe.
it is pretty much faded and gone now.... i do wish i could find that thing again....i'd like to have that done again!
hugzzz,
me

I was wondering. Is the ritual of branding is still performed? I see a ton of information on the cerimony of contracts and collaring. But there isn't much out there with regards to slave branding. Does this still exist?
Thank you in advance for the responses.

If you do a search on here you'll probably find about twenty threads or so on branding as of late.  I was branded about a year and a half ago and have a website up that has some information and a slidehow that chronicles the healing.  Its at:
