Today, I am so grateful! I have reason to give thanks!

http://gprime.net/video.php/foxoncanada

I have just realised how kind and charitable my neighbours to the south have been in "allowing me to exist on the same continent as the United States of America".

Now granted I am a French speaking Canadian, so I think I also owe thanks to my English speaking brothers and sisters because without them, I don't think we'd be granted such permission.
[/sarcasm]

I have a whole new sadistic fantasy brewing right now and it involves Ann Coulter, a heavy duty gag ball and an especially extra evil torture kit...

Lady,

You're Welcome!! Maybe the next time she's on she'll try to resurrect Manifest Destiny!

And thank YOU for planing the "sadistic fantasy" notion in my head. I managed to watch the entire 4:20 (coincidence regarding the total time, or statement about the speaker????) minutes of the video by picturing about 16 ounces of weight dangling from her perky nipples at the other end of an alligator teethed clips or clover clamps.

I couldn't finish that video clip. It's not very often that I just want to smack people, but congratulations to Ann Coulter are in order. She made the list. At the top. Right next to the lady who told me I'm going to hell because I'm a witch. Ugh. Don't let the dumbasses get to you, LadyA. Natural selection will pick them out soon enough.

I will not play apologist for assholes on either side of the political spectrum - however - a few things

1. When 9-11 occured I had opportunity to travel through Canada shortly afterward - the outpouring of support was not a matter of "fair weather friends speaking out for a morsel or a crumb" - it was of neighbors supporting us when we needed the supoprt.
2. I am (what is considered by many to be) "right winged in many political positions. I do not support idiots such as this woman on Fox.
3. My mother is French Canadian, so, this definitively does not play well with me.

Screw her - I wouldn't.

Do I think we allow Canada to exist? Well no nearly as much as some other countries. As was said on there we need each other. Do I dislike Canada or Canadians? No not really. Do I not like some of the things Canada does? Sure, allowing draft dodgers to stay there frankly pisses me off. But that doesn't mean that on the whole I think Canada is a bad place. I can understand where some of those views were coming from, but they were way over the top of anything I would support.

Yeah, Mexico, you better be watchin' yer step!

Ann Coulter is a classic example of why it's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt.

I liked my visit to Canada. I spent two days driving from the locks at the Great Lakes to just north of Vermont. It was a toasty 45 below zero but everyone was very warm and friendly...especially when my car wouldn't start the morning after I stayed over in a motel.

OMG, I don't know what to say----I just don't know what to say--it's funny, I never think of US versus Canada, I work in international marketing and we are always North America--we are just visitors here--but some people take it so seriously----

Part of Ann Coulter's celebrity is her willingness to say outrageous things. She is sort of like Pat Robertson in that way. If she didn't say such things, she wouldn't be in the spotlight as much... and she would disappear - because she just isn't important She's a creation of the media.

Dearest LadyAngelika,

I feel particularly blessed to live in the western region of Canada with the "cowboys and ski-hills" now I am sure she won't roll over and crush me....

Could you use an assistant with medical experience when you go to visit Ms Coulter?? I volunteer if you do..

Jenny

You hit the nail on the head. I can’t believe I actually gave her air time here. You know, it’s extra weak for someone to say idiocies to get ratings instead of well thought out information. She really caters to the lowest common denominator. I guess what surprised me is that she got a spot on a National newscast.

Tucker Carlson is also way out to lunch! I can tell you that in the 33 years that I’ve been living in this colder version of Honduras, I’ve never seen a dog sled race except for on TV!

I wonder if people like Carlson & Coulter have it on their agenda to make the US enemies with every single country in the world!

I don’t really have my knickers in a twist over this. I travel to the US regularly and we have tons of USers living her in Montreal and I know that Carlson & Coulter represent a minority of bigoted, narrow-minded and totally out-to-lunch morons.

I’m so glad I’m going to lure one of the best Americans up here for New Years ;-) I’ll be proving Coutler wrong!

Oh and kitten & M, you are more then welcome to come with me on my sadistic expedition to make that bitch suffer.

And candystripper, the sexiest/raunchy way to say it “Baise-moi” (pronounced Beyz-mwah).

Oh wait... you said "please" fuck me... see I'm more used to ordering it then asking for it ;-)

See "baise-moi" is informal. "S'il-vous-plaît, baisez-moi" would be most formal. (pronounced: seal voo pleh, beyzay mwah)

ok so if its fuck you does one just add vous ( sp?) instead?

I want you to know, My daughter and I adore Canada, as a child I spent many summers in Montreal and of course the only real side to Niagra Falls--this fall we spent a long weekend at a B&B there and went to St. Catherine's for saddle shopping ( yes for real horses you bad Dommes--smiles)--

and yes we drove, 15 hours door to door--My daughter loves it, the men are gorgeous
(and that's just at the border crossing--LOL) and the shopping awesome and the people divine!--but seriously, the problem with Coulter and the like is not them it is us--we in fact dial in to watch that stuff, we go and see them--that's ratings and ratings far surpass good judgement ( look at Howard Stern---egads)--when we stop listening, they will be silenced--
