Evility -> "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy." (9/10/2008 2:35:27 PM)

No matter how interesting the debates may be between the presidential candidates and the vice presidential candidates I will like not enjoy them as much as the one that transpired the evening of October 5th, 1988 at the Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska.

"Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy: I knew Jack Kennedy; Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy."   Senator Lloyd Bentsen.

Yeah, that was a good one.
Someone should tell Obama that! lol "Barak, you're no Jack Kennedy!"
"Now get back on "The Bus to Palookaville!"

lazarus1983 -> RE: "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy." (9/10/2008 3:07:17 PM)

That was such a good quote, it even made it into a Megadeth song of all places.

When Hillary and her supporters finish with him he'll wish he was Jack Kennedy! lol
I saw a "McCain" bumpersticker today.
On a Volvo!
Now THAT is REALLY not a good omen for the Oman.

As opposed to the Obama '08 stickers I've been seeing on Buicks and Caddies?

I remember that quote.. I think my favorite use of it was in an ad for John Carpenter's "They Live"...

"I know human beings, and I consider human beings to be my friends... Mr. President, you are NO human being!"

(a strange foreshadowing of the Bush administration.)

I remember when Tom Cruise played LeStat in a movie... I saw bumper stickers that said "I knew LeStat.  LeStat was a friend of mine.  Tom Cruise, you are no LeStat."

Yeah a good one, but history has been kind to the old man concerning that night.

As a matter of polite respect of one's elders, the press consistently squashed
Lloyd's quick quip when Dan became fiesty.

"Senator I rode with Genghis Khan, Genghis Khan was a friend of mine.
Senator, you're no Genghis Khan."

Lol, only Kerry pronounced it, "Jen-Jiss."
The Obama better be careful!
Ted Kennedy endorsed him and a month later he ends up with a terminal brain tumor!
You don't want to mess with the Clintons!
All kinds of bad things can happen if you cross those two!
And Yahoo News says that Bill is going out "campaigning for Obama."
Watch, something's going to happen.

That was a great line.  Interesting that over recent decades of political rhetoric only a few sentences continue to be remembered.  Maybe the one coming from McCain to
Obama in their first debate when Obama brings up Lincoln as he so loves to do"

"Senator, I knew Lincoln, Lincoln was a friend of mine, and your no Abraham Lincolt".

Bill has to be wondering why he didn't get the idea to put a pageant contestant on his ticket. [;)]

LOL, "Sha-Zhaim, now why didn't I think of that!"

Vendaval -> RE: "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy." (9/11/2008 12:30:17 AM)

I am of the opinion that the various political groupies, mistresses and kept women should be the ones to stand up before the American public at a news conference on the steps of Capital Hill and proclaim one by one -

"I gave a lesbian strip-tease in a Catholic schoolgirl outfit to Senator Limp-Dick."

"I snorted blow and crank with Congressman Twitchy."

"I gave a blow job to Congressional Aide Jack-Rabbit Boy and have photos of the stiff-hair-do to prove it."

"I spanked Congressman Rubber-Butt with a hair brush, a razor strap and a crop"

And finally ....

"I rode Senator Gigantus Maximus and you Senator, are no Gigantus Maximus!"

(my heretical humor post on the US political circus for the evening)

Not for nothing, but Mr Obama seems to have some trouble with that definition in the first place.

The elections are a joke anyway, all stolen, watch it and see.
See what Kennedy says about conservatism too.
