I will hopefully be going to live with my Mistress full time and i know one of the things she is wanting to do it put me in ballet heels and she had said its best to get them custom made and i was wondering if anyone knows of any place online that does that.

as a former ballerina, i can tell you that wearing pointe shoes is not much fun and is very damaging to your entire lower body. there are "trainers" for your arches you can buy from higher end ballet stores online. they help to stretch the arches in the proper shape and build strength in the calf muscles. please take great caution for wearing any type of pointe shoe/heel. good luck in your efforts.

During my early training with my mistress I was taught how to walk in heels and the heel height gradually increased then I had to wear what she called ballet shoe foot trainers. These were strapped to my feet pulling them into the shape needed for high heels they did not have heels themselves and were adjustable to gradually increase the flexion of my instep. I wore these trainers every night in bed for nearly 10 months while wearing ever increasingly high heels during the day. I nearly forgot these trainers did not hold my toes pointed but gradually bent them upwards as they would be in high heels with the balls of your feet on the ground and your toes sticking straight out parrallel with the ground.
I now never wear less than 6ins heels most are up to 7 with half inch plateforms. But be warned this has left me unable to walk flatfooted if I try my instep and heel are agony and the back of each legs hurts also due to rotation of the ankle joins etc and shortening of the tendons.

not only will you be in agony, but you are extremely likely to rupture your achilles tendon if you do not wear heels at any time. other tendons may also be at high risk of rupture. one needs to be aware of and consider the natural condition of the body's anatomy and the effects of altering it. i do wish you well.

you can buy equipment to stretch out the foot (usually a device that echoes a high arched foot), but only strengthening of the muscles used to go on pointe will truly strengthen the foot enough for pointe. if you try to wear pointe shoes and be on pointe without this strengtheing, as well as finding a shoe with the proper fit and style for you foot, you can and will likely damage your feet, your ankles and possibly your knees and hips. there is a reason that dancers train for years before going on pointe. i wish you well with this, and do consider learning about the body's anatomy and some kinesiology and the effects of chainging the forces acting upon the body.

That was just the point I was making, I don't ever go without my heels now I just can't walk without them. Just trying to show the main downside to having your feet trained for wearing very high heels.

congrats!...

i don't know how you are gonna do ,that .you will never get used ,to the wooden box-toe, if this is your first time.you have, to go ,to a local teacher ,of a local ballet school and ,ask where your daughter ,or kid(boy,with big feet) can get their custom ballett slippers made.
what costume place does she recomend ,and ,dance step is where i get theatre party stuff like: portable floors ,for different sound,(foot music),and, books ,on dance, info,common dance-feet injuries ; stage hand ,or dance-studio supplies,etc.

it's a very common misconception that the box of a pointe shoe is made of wood; it's made of fabric and some form of glue or paste and that's it-the box itself has no wood. the hard sound of a new pair is due to the hardened glue/paste. it breaks down quickly, and some shoes have more fabric gathered on the sole, and thus are quieter. there are various ways to "break in" the box for more comfort, depending upon the type of glue/paste used. just my $.02 "tutu" knowledge based on years of wearing them. http://www.pointeshoe.co.uk/caring.htm http://www.tutu.com/dwear_ptshbl.html#BreakIn http://www.dancer.com/aboutpointe.html
