Sorry if I had said anything out of place on a post on a recent thread, it was not intended to be out right mean, just seemed the story was getting to far fetched.

You've got a perfect right to express disbelief if that is what you are feeling. I have a paperweight given to me by the staff of the student newspaper at USM. It reads "If your mother tells you she loves you check it out with an independent source." It was something I told them hundreds of times when I was advisor there.

It clearly dates from about the 1930 Chicago. I suspect Ben Hecht might have been involved.

[grin] The age puts it in the public domain.

I didn't mean YOU had to attribute! lol It's what my old prof used to yell to us, frequently.

I do enjoy your posts. Congratulations for all the great work you've done for the BDSM world.

My pleasure. Actually, if I had a real attribution, I probably would have used it, but it was just something my old ME used to yell at me so I did the "unbroken chain" bit

shy, you are not the only person who thought it was far-fetched. I don't think I saw what you wrote, but someone needed to pull the plug.

I agree that is seemed very far fetched, someone needed to speak up. If it hadn't been you, it would have been someone else. There is no need to apologize, you were voicing your opinion, something that everyone does (some of us more then others)

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Part of the joy about this forum is that we all have the right to speak our minds. The topic obviously caused concern for the Mods as it seems to be gone.

I always saw Rowena as a young man with a very active fantasy life that he played out for us on the boards. Nothing more.

i didn't know this (i've been on and off lately), but Rowena has posted in another thread on ballet shoes to which i responded. thank you for the heads up; the other post that was removed had me concerned about the safety and mental state of those involved.

I tend to lean that way myself. Though...if there was even a little truth in there Rowena has some world class issues.
