Oh sure. I used to see a Domme who had "Godzilla" written on the side of one of her strap on's, like a tattoo. Silicones, it seems, absorb inks fairly well. There were other nicknames for other toys of hers as well.
There was also a Dom I knew in Denver, a guy by the name of Tim, who made whips, with some of the most beautiful handles you can imagine... Unfortunately, I lost touch with him shortly after moving to Arkansas, which is a pity, I've been wanting to pick up a couple more of his artworks.
I've also seen some amazing work done in exotic woods that would just blow you away. A few utilized a laser engraving technique that made even the simplest of paddles into full-blown masterpeices. Lots of room for innovation here, with paint, or resin inlays mimicing gold, pearl, or other exotic materials.
