They will. I know many couples that have managed to work though it. I know even my own parents were on very shaky ground a few years back for a different kind of betrayal and my mom told me just last week that a 35 year marriage was worth salvaging.
I would have a hard time if someone betrayed me but I can’t say if I would leave him or not. As you said, there are so many factors and variables…
I’m so sorry your sister and family are going through this. I hope you all find peace and resolve soon.
