Estring -> Liquid Latex (8/1/2004 10:29:26 PM)

Has anyone used this liquid latex? It is brushed onto the body and looks like latex clothing. It looked cool. Anyone know about?

GoddessJules -> RE: Liquid Latex (8/2/2004 4:19:24 AM)

Estring,

Liquid latex *has* it's place. I'm a hardcore latex fetishist and I'd say that for the activity of painting it on and eventually ripping it off. . .it's fine. A lot of people say that it is fun, sensual, and plain ole feels good!

As far as using it as "viable clothing" I would have to give it a big thumbs down. Generally, people don't get it on smoothly/neatly enough for it to pass off as "latex clothing" and it SCREAMS "Hey! I'm liquid latex!"

So I guess it boils down to what you want to use it for. Hope this helps.

~Jules~

I've been using liquid latex since I was 13...different reasons than the reasons we do now..
Anyway, I like it a lot. You can purchase it relatively cheap. Different colors.
When you pull it off..if you pull it off the right away, one can even orgasm from the sensation. All depending on where it is put...and how it is torn off. Then of course my entire body is an erogenous zone.

proudsub -> RE: Liquid Latex (8/26/2004 11:53:41 AM)

That really sounds fun, where do you buy it? and is there anything unsafe about it?

sub4hire -> RE: Liquid Latex (8/26/2004 12:03:05 PM)

I think the only thing unsafe would be if you're allergic to latex. It comes sort of like paint. You can paint it on in any shape...etc. I think that is why estring was asking if you could wear it like clothing. Ever see those people painting clothing on themselves?

Pretty much any adult store has it. I'm thinking I've even seen it someplace more common over the years, costume shops. The price varies widely. Probably in direct correlation to supply and demand. I know I've seen like a 2 ounce bottle for maybe 5.95...yet at the same time maybe 20 miles away seen a 25 ounce bottle for ten dollars.

If you're a kid at heart who likes to play in the mud. You'll love liquid latex. It's sort of like grown up mud...hehe

quite fun, get a foam brush and a bottle and you're set. If it's too expensive near you, it's real easy to find online in bulk. While not able to work as an entire bodysuit so to speak, can make nice accents for an evening out at the clubs and will stay on all night even through sweat and movement.

stef -> RE: Liquid Latex (8/26/2004 4:53:05 PM)

It's pretty fun to play with but it has one nasty 'side effect'. Upon removal, you will become acutely aware of EVERY SINGLE HAIR you didn't bother to shave off before applying [;)]

Thanks for the warning stef.

temptation -> RE: Liquid Latex (8/27/2004 1:51:50 AM)

in my experience.. it also stinks quite much :(

stef -> RE: Liquid Latex (8/27/2004 6:41:48 AM)

That's probably the ammonia you're smelling. It's what it allows it to dry so quickly after it's applied.

My former dom bought me an Endor 300 small tens unit in the UK but i have never heard of the one you mentioned.

sub4hire -> RE: Liquid Latex (9/22/2004 1:36:46 PM)

If you go to libida.com and search for Professors box it will give you quite a few articles and such. It really doesn't appear it is a toy. However, not sure what it is. It could be a way of shaving the vagina. Then again, not sure.

velvetvixen -> RE: Liquid Latex (9/22/2004 7:42:02 PM)

I had it put on as clothing one year at Halloween. I had it professionally applied and it looked awesome and was very fun to wear. I have had several others attempt the application over the years and although playing around with it was great fun, the overall appearance was amatuerish to put it mildly.

Have fun. [:D]

Here's a coincidence.
Tonight on TV I saw a show where they painted a guy almost all over with liquid latex, to see if there would be any health consequences.

It was an episode of Mythbusters, a show that acts out Urban Myths to see if they are impossible, possible, or likely. Pretty fun show.

Tonight they tried to prove or disprove that scene in the old James Bond movie Goldfinger, where the bad guy killed a lady by painting 100% of her body, so she "died of skin asphyxiation". Instead of paint, they used liquid latex, with gold glitter of course.

They had a bunch of doctors and specialists and even the actress who years ago had been painted for the 007 movie, all saying that the skin does not breathe, covering the skin shouldn't cause any problems, and everybody expected this to be proved a big myth.

The interesting part is they covered this guy up, and the EMTs they had for safety measured him starting to have blood pressure swings. Serious enough to terminate the experiment.

The moral of the story? Put some on a big piece of body as a test beforehand (or before foot?). Some people can have some weird and unexpected reactions to the latex, or the solvents.

That shouldn't be a problem if the person it is applied to is wearing a thong and the latex is applied around it. Or if you just apply it over the lower half and make a sexy top out of it with skin showing.

That is what I had thought, and what the TV guys thought, but being network TV, they had the victim, er, test subject, wearing briefs and ended up leaving some pretty large areas uncoated. Therefore the myth of being OK with full coverage as long as a little gap was exposed was also busted. (And they also didn't cover his face ... a good thing as he has a HUGE mustache! <g>)

Strange, the liquid latex demo I saw, the gal was painted like she had fancy pants on her legs, then a very sexy looking top was painted over her breasts, she wore it for the evening with no ill effects.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure that most people can wear it safely. But the show made it clear that if you used it, you should keep an eye out for feeling strange.

Also discussed during the show was the more anticipated safety problem of heat exhaustion if you got yourself painted up and then exerted yourself. The latex would keep your skin's perspiration from evaporating and you could overheat. And that can be anywhere from serious to fatal.

I totally agree with you, just wearing a corset, I know that if it has a natural fibre lining that wicks away persperation & allows the body to regulate temerature I can wear it longer.
