No offense but that sounds deadly boring.


Why? I certainly don't want to be a character that dies at the end of the book! And nearly everyone in, say, LOTR lives happily ever after. Thats pretty exciting.

I completely forgot about Eve Dallas in the J.D. Robb "in Death" series. She is smart, sassy and married to the most incredible man who treats her like the most important thing in his life. She has great friends, is amazing at her job, and is a very strong woman. Oh and did I mention her husband Roarke is extremely wealthy? And sexy. And head over heels in love with her.

Among those already mentioned... Anne of Green Gables, Phedre no' Delaunay, Scarlett O'Hara (maybe), Buttercup come to mind.  i've yet to read either the Anita Blake series or those by Diana Gabaldon (but my mom and sister say they're good, the Diana Gabaldon books).

And i think i shall have to look up a copy of Elizabeth Lowell's Untamed, aurora.  That sounds like a good read.  [:)]

Cause happily sounds so blah.  I mean we don't know we are happy if we don't know what sad is.  I want an exciting life, a complicated life, something that keeps me engaged.  Happy sounds so... ummm well dull to me.

But hey, if it is your goal, that is cool.

This is true....Girl interrupted was a good book much better than the movie, and so was the sisterhood of the traveling pants series.. I love the way Ann Brasheres writes... The Kite runner was a better book than the movie and if I had to gender switch I'd be the main character in that book.

Or the nurse in the memory keeper's daughter who adopts the little girl he didn't want.
