As the story goes,
do we really want 4 more years of Bush?

I know Obama is a little rough around the edges.
But biden is a seasoned veteran.
He's been down that road before.

If McCain was to die. {God for bid} I believe our Country would be worse off then it already is!

Obama may or may not be ready, but he's the guy because McCain is much less acceptable. I don't really have faith in Obama, but I think he will shake things up, and with all the malfeasance going on in the Bush administration, at least there is a slight glimmer of a chance of some sort of investigation.

I want to know where all that money went, somebody has it, and if they can take your yacht because they find a joint, they should be able to disgorge these crooks just as easily, using the exact same laws these MFs created to take things away from the people. Poetic justice. If Obama gets in, I will write some letters, I want a CAFR for the federal government for the last eight years. Somebody wrecked this country, and I want them called to account. No re-fuckyou-lican will do that.

You vote for McCain if you want, he might not do all that bad, but then we will never know where all that money went.

I suppose it depends on just how far the American public is willing to see the US fall into being less than it was planned to be.

The Republicans have already gutted the Constitution, they've begun tapping our phones, and taking people off the street holding them without charge or trial for the better part of a decade. They have used torture, even though they know the chances of gaining any useful intel from their victims was effectively nil. The treasury is being emptied as we speak. We have a jerk of a Texan as a defacto "king."

Somehow, I don't think this is what the founding fathers had in mind.

There is an old saying in politics... "be careful what you ask for, you might just get it"! If anyone in this country believes that George Bush is the root of every problem in America today, including the attack on the World Trade Center by some, they might be kinda surprised to find out that "both sides of the aisle" did their bit to destroy the balance sheet of our country. You want to go back to Lyndon Johnson and his privatizing of FanneMae and Freddie Mac so that their liabilities would not show up on the government ledger?
You want to discuss Mr. Cuomo relaxing regulations governing those entities so that non-interest loans with no work check could be insured by FNM and FRE? You want to talk about the Republicans pushing through ethanol, with the help of democrats, to help the farmers in the midwest make a fortune on an uneconome, highly subsidized product, instead of drilling for oil over the years?
You want investigate Allen Greenspan and his atrocious handling of Fed policy? Where should we begin to cast those stones?

I think, rather than calling for investigations, which is the only thing our Congress is capable of doing, why don't we as "stockholders in the country" tell our managers to get off their political partisan asses and think about how we can get out of this mess instead of wasting everyone's time to put together material for a book to be shown on the "View" or "Imus" about how we got here. I think we all know how we got here...very few of us, starting with me, have any clue how to get out of this withhout a great deal of pain.
