I had about 6 foot of water where I lived. The storm, even though it was a category 2, had a category 4 storm surge.
 
People that didn't evacuate were stuck floating inside their homes, along with snakes and gators and such.
 
But things are better now.

Damn Level,

I just saw the aftermath of Rita, when we came back when I was in Orange, TX
Lucked out and left Conroe before, have no idea how it took it there.
While it came in at a cat 3, the storm surge was not near what it was expected.

I definetly know while pictures make a impact, coming back and seeing whats happened is the most humbling feeling.

Faerie, you're right. It rearranged my insides, in some good, and not so good ways.

i was taking about my coffee cup...and the fact is i dropped it when i tripped on one of those pesky carpet fibers.
