Tine11 -> Blacksmiths? (12/2/2005 11:59:56 AM)

Hello,
I have a person desire to learn how to make swords, and to learn metal working. Since i am still in school, and get kicked off campus every summer it makes one of the mroe ideal times for me to learn.

Do you know of any blacksmiths what have the facilities and are willing to teach and pass their trade on?

thanks tine

I'd try the local SCA groups -- they don't only do fighting but also arts, crafts, writing, a multitude of things.

My mother was never into this kind of thing,and since lick funds to actually join the SCA at the moment, which i was hoping to do when i graduated. My friend will be going to Pensic this year and i woudl like to join her. However since i have recently also been exploring BDSM upon learning metal work, i wanted to to learn how to make a lot of equipment for myself. Oneday i woudl not mind having a castle with a dungon that i furnished myself.

Tine...

Click on the link below and visit these forums. You will find anything and everything about knife-making and blacksmithing availiable. It's the largest site related to collecting, and making knives and swords on the internet. There are tons of makers in Indiana that you could contact and learn from.

The second and third links are to the American Bladesmith Society and Knife Makers Guild, which both have schools that teach bladesmithing and blacksmithing.

Good luck to you!

Actually, I know a blacksmith who is Lifestyle of some 20+ years, and skilled in the trade, and actively uses the trade for such things as whip handles, collars, cuffs, etc.

This blacksmith is currently in Minnesota, and has some ties to the Michigan area.

Please contact me with your information, and your express permission that I may pass it along to this blacksmith, and I will give your information to him. I will not guarantee that he will be interested in taking on an apprentice, but I will promise to give your information to him for consideration.

Regards,
Lee

looking for someone to make me a divice that is placed in the nasal cavities and pulled upward by a strap that goes around the face. Gives the person a pig look. Know of anyone?

Google the term "nose hook" and you'll find several people who make/sell this item, but it's something you can easily make yourself as well.
