PeonForHer -> Hi Liberated Ones! (9/27/2008 3:49:19 PM)

. . . Or so you all seem to me.

Lord, I so much want this life - enough, now, that I've come to realise nothing else will do.  A woman who is a boss, an owner, a queen, a goddess . . . all rolled into one.  Well, I'll just dream till I find one, as I've always done.

Anyway, I write and I lecture, while fixing up houses for resale.  A few times I was a "butlerinthebuff" (Google it!).  And twice, a model.  All lots of fun.

Pictures.  Are people afraid of posting photos of themselves here?  I am, I have to say.  Actually, I'm terrified most of all of my (ex) students finding out!  But maybe I should bite the bullet.  I'll certainly email them to any who ask.

Do people really find what they're looking for here?

Good luck, you all!

Give it time and you will be beating them off with a big stick. Be blessed in your search.

Thank you for those words of encouragement, Kon Domme!

I believe we all find what we want in the end.  I certainly have.
Wishing you the best as you search for your dream.

Welcome to the forums. Jump in anywhere; we don't bite too hard [8D]

CherryBaby -> RE: Hi Liberated Ones! (9/27/2008 11:36:52 PM)

You write? I am a HUGE fan of literature, mostly American Poetry (but one of my childhood loves was Rumi, and I am big on the Euro-Philosophy [mainly nihilism]), but I try to keep a broad exposure. I would love to hear more about what you do!

And welcome!

PeonForHer -> RE: Hi Liberated Ones! (9/28/2008 5:33:59 PM)

Thanks ChainGoddess.  That's kind of you.

PeonForHer -> RE: Hi Liberated Ones! (9/28/2008 5:35:39 PM)

Thanks IrishMist.  Well, I think I can stand some moderate biting. [8D]

PeonForHer -> RE: Hi Liberated Ones! (9/28/2008 5:39:40 PM)

I write, CherryBaby, but I think what I do is a long way from what you produce.  I have about 100, 000 words of something I don't want to look at again (academic stuff) - and that rest has been humorous.  I know a touch about Euro-Philosophy.  Never had the guts to broach Jacques Derrida though. By gum does he make things difficult to read.

And - thanks for your welcome!

DMFParadox -> RE: Hi Liberated Ones! (9/29/2008 6:27:29 AM)

Dude. I wish I could get away with writing something that sappily enthusiastic... it would ruin my carefully built slightly world-weary facade, though. I might try my own heavily altered version of that and see what happens. Cheers!

Did it really look that bad?  Oh well, I guess hope and excitement got the better of me . . . .  Glad to have been of help, though! [;)]

I knew there was something I wanted to say to you, CB.  Tip of my tongue.

You know Jean Jacques Rousseau, the father of liberal philosophy, inspiration of the French Revolution - he who said "man is born free, but everywhere is in chains"?  Hated all tyranny?  Well, some personal writings of his were found a while ago.  Turns out he was into being chained up.  It's very sad, really: he said that he'd do anything to find a woman who'd just treat him like a slave.  Shades of poor old Oscar Wilde and his lifelong striving to enjoy the "love that dare not speak its name".

Thanks, Karen.  I hope things turn out well for you, too.  Best of luck to you.
