Going in, I know we're going to forget somebody or something - Sorry about that! Many brain cells were sacrificed to the gods of fun this past weekend.

The 'Folsom Fringe' was, as always a great launching point for a weekend of partying. The dungeon was huge and the play atmosphere electric. The Odyssey group knows how to throw a party!

Simply Michael - Your 'Torture-wood' is as much 'Art' as it is functional. I loved the tit pulling device as much as beth hated/loved it! THANKS! Looking forward to your next trip to LA. We are very grateful and really appreciate you using our camera to take pictures of us. We owe you! Finally I'm in some pictures with beth. (YEAH - I know most won't consider that positive!)

eString & babygirl: I think after this trip you're hooked and will be Folsom regulars. babygirl - We're glad it didn't take long for you to get over your 'shyness'. You looked fantastic!

ErusUxor: We can think of nobody better suited to represent us and the rest of the lifestyle community as reigning 'International Master/slave Couple'. As your term comes to a close THANKS~! (PS - beth wants a 'fainting goat'!)

Bita & Nueva: Now you know you can't see the Street Fair in an hour! Next time plan on spending some more time. It was great to see you. We just wish we could spend some more time with you guys!

Ms. Valentine & paul: How great is it to meet people from the UK in person! It was a fun day walking around the Fair with you. Hope you found the toy you were seeking. See you next year!

Leadership 527: You and your spouse were lovely people. It was great talking with you and getting to know you. You guys have a lot of fun ahead of you. Good luck!

Devon: To the man who had our little crappy room last year and showed us how to bring a full sized 'love-swing' into it if we wanted; your hospitality was amazing. Now we know how to get a 'good room' and we'll be in room #57 next year. We're envious of your planning and next year - when we are next door neighbors - we'll make one room a playroom and the other sleeping quarters...wait a minute - who sleeps at Folsom?

Andy: Our good friend from Long Beach who joined us at Folsom for the first time. Sorry about the couch situation?! You looked great in your harness. Thanks for helping out with beth Sunday night. Can you believe her nipples were outlawed at the Penthouse party but welcomed at the 'Anchor'?

WOW - What a time! One of our favorite things about Folsom is that for that weekend there is no pretense. We're allowed to expose ourselves freely. That doesn't only speak to what you are wearing but its pointed more to what you are feeling. You can show the side of you that you may be afraid to expose in any other venue or event. It is an empowering experience, made even more so by the shared camaraderie. No matter what your fetish, preference, or kink - you'll find it represented and come to know you are not alone.

Start planning for next year - Folsom Street Fair 2009 - Sunday September 27th, 2009.

        Hey guys,
It was so great to be able to get together again after so much time. The best thing is that it always seems to pick up right where we left off the last time.
The Fringe and the Fair were so much fun. We were happy to have you as hosts for our first time, and to be able to share it with you. It was a blast!

Yup - about 50 of them so far: http://flickr.com/photos/65654430@N00/

If the link doesn't work, just join www.flickr.com and do a search for Merc_n_beth and you'll find Folsom 2008 as well as 2004, 5, 6, and 2007. It is a free site and as a 'member' you get to post comments.

Again - Special thanks should go to Simply Michael for being a GREAT street photographer!

The 'video' is in production.

Bita and I talked about this quite a bit - that everyone there was in a great mood and enjoying themselves, and so friendly to each other.  It was awesome, and we spent over 3 hours, not just one!   Next year I'll make it an all day event.  But as soon as we parted company with you, Bita snapped that leash on me and I was all hers *grin*.  (Although she did say I was easier to walk than her pitbull...heh).

You guys rock.  I enjoyed meeting everyone I met, and am sorry I wasn't able to hook up with others.

Maybe it's my bad "techo ju-ju" but I couldn't find your Folsom pics on your account.  I'll try later.

It's so great y'all had such a time.  It's so good that events like this take place so that people can zone in and meet up.  I cannot wait to perv the photos when I have more time and we really look forward to the time you can visit the UK!

We (wife and I) so wanted to get back to Folsom Fringe this year but it wasn't in the cards. We're hoping to be back there next year. Our last year at FF was in '04 and missed for the past 4 years not because of real-life interfering. Wedding in '05 was too close to FF, '06 we moved cross country, '07 we closed on our house and then this year just not enough vacation time as we just got back from our first week long vacation since Dec '03.

We so want to get back and see old friends and make it to some great demos and classes that Folsom Fringe has never let us down on.

D&d,

We'd recommend that everyone take a trip to Folsom. I guarantee you'll come back with a new attitude about public displays of affection and kink. It is empowering and we look forward to it every year. You get to feed off, as well as add to, the energy of everyone there - all 200,000 or so of them.

Hopefully we'll be able to make a crossing in Spring and hope to see you then.

We met a wonderful couple at the Fair from the UK. She has her own pro-dungeon in Sandhurst and we'd love to visit them as well.

I'll take responsibility for Nueva and me not getting to stay longer (although we still went an hour over the time I had alloted myself!). Sunday was the last day I was going to get to see my son and Dad in, well, I'm not sure how long it's going to be before I make it back to CA after our move. I'm hoping for Christmas in CA, but we might be in Portugal already so it's by no means a 'for sure' thing. Even so, it was great getting to meet you guys and SimplyMichael (who gives GREAT hugs) and now I know for sure that Beth is NOT a 400 pound bald, plumber guy from Podunk.  Or.. if she is.. she had on an amazing costume! ::grins::

A friend sent us this link which provides a good peek at what goes on during the Folsom Street Fair. Thought some of you would be interested is seeing what its like to be among 400,000 people expressing themselves freely on the streets of SF -
